I would submit, that his not being arrested was outside the norm, however not unusual given the circumstances. You are correct that most citizens in this same situation would have been arrested in order that they could be evaluated by the same criteria but that isn&#039;t so immediately provided by notoriety. While I was not directly involved in the incident, I was part of the Investigative team on behalf of our agency due to our officers involvement. Mr. King, in no uncertain terms did not deserve the beating he was given that night at the hands of the LAPD, and I&#039;ll let my previous agencies record and reputation as one of the very best in the United States of America stand as testament to the fact that brutality is not a legitimate function of Law Enforcement.
