I truly believe that going through situations in your mind is just as important as the range and stress training. We train all of our guys to play what we call the "what if" game when they're on duty. You just simply ask your self what would I do if.....? and fill in the blank, and then you ask yourself where is my cover and what are my weapons ( and here we're talking about objects in your space that can be used as weapons other than the gun, say a chair). I've never had to use my gun, but I have had to get "hands on" a few times and I truly believe that constantly going through those type of scenarios in my mind is what got me trough them. I was actually able to think my way throught them as they happened.

There is no required class in Ga, but I work as an armed security officer and I take regular classes from my boss who is certified by the state to teach gun classes to armed officers and NRA instructor certified. Not sure if I think the government should be able to require a class but it's always a good idea to take one even if you've had it before. When I take my boss's class I always learn something new and important, even though it's essentially the same class every time.

I understand where everyone here is coming from on this, but I don't think voting is the problem. It is merely a symptom of the problem. And it is not a priviledge, it is a right and should not be taken away because a group of people don't like the manner that another use to choose who they vote for or that groups level of intelegence. In essence when you deny a person the right to vote you deny there place among "We the People". The problem is government controlled education that doesn't teach basic civics anymore. Fix that and you won't need 1 through 7 at all.

What State are you in? Is it difficult to get a permit there? I'm in Georgia, and it was pretty easy here.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Despite the recent rise in gun violence ...

Anyone watch ABC's "If I Only Had a Gun"? Maybe they should've called it, "If only no one had a gun" The general gist of it was that if you own and lawfully carry a gun you'll freeze up when it's time to use it, oh and it's more likely to get you shot than save your life, and even if you do get the gun out and use it you'll probably only shoot a friend or family member. Then there was the segment on how easy it is to buy guns at gun shows, complete with the brother of a Virginia Tech victim doing the buying. Also, there was a segment where they left guns out where kids would have access to them and, surprise, they picked them up and played with them. There was more, but describing this much made me throw up in my mouth a little bit...... They really think we're a bunch of toothless idiots don't they?

I would definately point to more than 17 as Socialist. No question. And it easily spans both parties.
