Does anyone know if there is a Madrid equivalent of TotalBarca? I want to know what they are saying about this (Ronaldo saying Messi's name).

Arbeloa is an overtly terrible player. Not simply that he is not good enough for Spain's quality. He is a bad, bad defender. Terrible positioning, slow, otiose, always whinging, diving, violent. And worse of all, he can't defend.

He says that and insists on playing Iniesta in the LW. Xabi Alonso, David Silva were awful. Iniesta should take Alonso's place, and Pedro in. Torres off, Llorente in. Ramos to RB, Arbeloa off, Javi Martinez in.

Not to mention the Iberian rivalry. But who would be arrogant enough–whatever his nationality—to offer himself to Barcelona? Bosingwa: It looks like Van der Wiel will take my place next season. Shan't worry, because I can always go to Barcelona and play more games there. What is this piffle?

LATEST TRANSFER NEWS: Jose Bosingwa (29), whose contract at Chelsea expires, has last week offered himself to Barcelona. Offered himself. As if we needed him. Reportedly he is demanding high wages too. Are all Portuguese people pretentiously pompous?

We need a world class CB and LB. And that will be enough for us. Another forward? Messi's going to play almost every game next season, so the CF spot is forever taken. We have Villa, Pedro, Cuenca, Alexis and Tello and occasionally Cesc. Those are 4 surpluses. If Jordi Alba comes in he could play LW too. Make that 5. Not to mention Deulofeu and Dongou who could get some playing time.

totalBarca : Ronaldo haunted by Messi at Euros

Ronaldo (Madrid): "Fans chanting 'Messi' when I missed big chances? This time last year, Messi was out of Copa America. That's much worse. Much. At least we won today." --from Barcastuff and I translated a bit more from the full interview. What a dunce he is. He still deems himself a rival to Messi. After his arse-gripping performance against Denmark I think we can all say that he makes very little impact on his team by himself. Messi, on the other hand—like Maradona, Zidane, even Pele, etc., etc.—can single-handedly lead his team to victory.

Why am I receiving flack for extolling Italy? Did I see a different game? Am I the only one who thought Italy put up a good fight? Am I the only one who thought De Rossi and Pirlo played well? By praising Italy am I supporting Madrid? Por que? What is this nonsensical whinging and demurring?

Italy shows you, you don't have to play like Chelsea to play a fantastic defensive football (catenaccio). 3-5-2 v. 4-6-0 was also an impressive bout especially in an age of 4-2-3-1. Italy never parked the bus, Spain kept attacking. One of the greatest games in the Euros. Iniesta MTOM. Pirlo, De Rossi, Marchisio, Casillas, Buffon were brilliant too. Torres, Arbeloa, Alonso, Silva were ghastly terrible I must say. Del Bosque should move Ramos to the RB and Martinez as a CB. Could be a fine experiment v. Ireland.

Am I the only one who thought taking off Afellay was a turning point for Netherlands? After the sub the Dutch lost the flare and flamboyance. Robben and van Persie were rubbish by the way.
