What are you trying to prove in saying that it is a disorder? What exactly is your point? It doesn't do anything to help your cause, it only harms it. We'll assume for a minute that homosexuality is a disorder. What does having a disorder have to do with not having equal rights? Do people who suffer from Down Syndrome have equal rights? Do people who suffer from Crohn's Disease have equal rights? What about people who have hormonal disorders that look more ambiguous in their sex? No equal rights there? What's your point, then? No amount of poor logical circles is going to convince anyone of anything other than you're a bigot.

It has been proven that it is not a disorder of mental health, and homosexuals not being able to reproduce together has nothing to do with their ability to reproduce with the opposite sex (in other words, were they so inclined, they would still be able to procreate naturally). You can't base a disorder off what more than one human can or can't do. It applies to an individual in this context.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Gay marriage within reach in state Legislature | Local & Regional | Seattle News, Weather, Sports, B

I'm sorry, I simply can't decipher your cryptic black/white thing you're trying to do. Use your words, please. "For the most part, religious traditions in the world reserve marriage to heterosexual unions, but there are exceptions including Unitarian Universalist, Metropolitan Community Church, Quaker, United Church of Canada, United Church of Christ and Reform Jewish congregations, some Anglican dioceses, and various Neopagan faiths. This model is currently recognized by various jurisdictions and religious denominations." "Various types of same-sex marriages have existed, ranging from informal, unsanctioned relationships to highly ritualized unions. While it is a relatively new practice to frequently grant same-sex couples the same form of legal marital recognition as commonly granted to mixed-sex couples, there is a long history of recorded same-sex unions around the world. It is believed that same-sex unions were celebrated in Ancient Greece and Rome, some regions of China, such as Fujian, and at certain times in ancient European history." I cited my sources, but my post was deleted for some reason by the administrator. Look it up if you want, I'm not going to do your homework for you. However, judging by your comments, you're not the kind of person who does their homework on anything.

Marriage is largely a cultural phenomena, and exists worldwide. To say that marriage has existed forever under the one rule of "between a man and a woman" is completely ignoring history and all global cultures outside ONE (guess which one that is...). Traditional religious American values do not define a worldwide cultural and religious practice. That in itself is reason enough to justify this kind of legislation. Don't think gays should marry? You opinion, I suppose, but your moral code that you follow based on the particular subculture you live in and live by is NOT shared by everyone else, and laws shouldn't reflect the desires of one subculture's practice of something that is practiced by virtually EVERY culture on the planet

Face reality. Marriage is seen through more than one lens. Religion, government, and culture. There is no "universal" definition of marriage, because that would also assert that every other culture in the world that has different ideals about marriage would also be wrong. Right wing America does not define marriage to the world. Sorry. Marriage is a cultural phenomena. Read a freaking book.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Conflict between rich, poor strongest in 24 years | National & World News | Seattle News, Weather, S

This is obviously a very polarizing topic, but I think that the rich need to very much understand that there are SO MANY factors that go into being poor and lower class, many of them socioeconomical. It is a VERY COMPLEX situation, very little of which has to do with laziness or government assistance abuse. The poor also need to realize that it is extremely unfair to work hard your entire life to have well more than your fair share of taxes forced away from you. Its not about not being compassionate, its about being punished for being successful and being forced to take your earned wealth of a lifetime's work and share it with people who didn't do anything to deserve it. Those are the biggest back and forth criticisms I see from both sides, and honestly, I really feel each side has a justifiable right to complain, but try to understand where the other side is coming from, yeah? Also, try to throw in as many commas in your sentences as possible, yeah?

I'm willing to argue the topic of global warming if someone who opposed it had anything to back their claim other than baseless assumptions about monetary or political gain by scientists around the world, or just the simple fact that "it doesn't sound plausable." The problem is that nobody wants to provide any type of evidence whatsoever to the contrary. I can only do so much; I have cited SEVERAL academic sources to pad my point. If you don't believe the science or start spouting out of context semantics, feel free to go read the literature yourself. I can't and won't teach those who don't want to learn anything themselves. Have evidence to the contrary? GREAT! I would love to read it! I base my opinion on factual information and scientific study, so if there is overwhelming evidence to the contrary, show it to me and I will gladly reconsider my opinion. Otherwise, I'm not gong to argue back and forth with people who make baseless assumptions because they simply want to believe what they want to believe.
