Well, of course he wouldn't. He would never do ANYTHING for political gain. He's a man "for the people", not a politician. Dont'cha know. . . . . .

Crist is a traitor. As bad as Barry Soetoro, the traitorous kenyan muslim illegally sitting current US president.

Yeah it's just amazingly frustrating. I absolutely understand the system of checks and balances, but there is no reason that people out there working to protect our beaches (I live in Alabama and the Gulf is where I grew up, every summer off my life, and every summer as an adult) are being allowed to NOT work.

I know the quasi-dangerous aspects of heat and humidity, trust me.......but if there are private citizens and their children walking these beaches and cleaning up, then you can't tell me that these workers couldn't be monitored closely for any possible health issues related to heat stress or exhaustion and be allowed to work to the point where THEY feel like they need to stop and rest.

In this light, I think that we would be better off NOT allowing the US Government to administer cleanup, and instead dispatch the jobs to ONLY private entities. The way Governor Jindal wants to do. The way Billy Nunguesser, President of Placquemines Parish wants to do. At least the private, for-profit organizations that are out there WORKING, are getting the job done.

And call me a racist if you must, but the people on camera who I saw working the federal jobs, well, I wouldn't call it working -- they were sitting under tents on the beach smoking cigarettes and drinking sodas, but they were EXACTLY the people I would EXPECT to be working that job. You know what I mean. And I doubt seriously if a single one of them were in this state legally. And I'd bet my monthly wage that 99 percent of them were already subscribed to at least 2 or more government entitlement programs.

I have contacted my state rep and even the ones who are not my state reps, I've contacted my congressman....... I vented my frustration to them (politely and respectfully because I do like my elected officials, they're a couple of the good guys still left, and they do listen to me)
I let them know that what is taking place is wrong and that I KNOW it is WRONG and something MUST be done about it.

I am just so pissed off with this I want to slap somebody upside the head. Twice. Hard!

The thing about being in Alabama, or this region of the US, is that we are getting a lot more "inside" information about what is going on thanks to the local news crews who have moved to the Gulf and have set up shop on the coast to keep us informed. We are getting more than the talking heads in the mainstream national media are being allowed to give to the average citizen of the US. Obama tells them what to say. He doesn't tell the locals here what to say. And this report about the workers NOT working was from a local Birmingham station who has gone down to the coast to stay. They put up this news report to get people stirred up in order to get changes enacted so that these "workers" actually are made to get to WORK. Something will be done, if I have to go down there and do it my damn self.

Like the guy on the beach whom they interviewed on camera, who said to the camera "This is a public beach, this is MY home and they can not and will not keep me off MY beach, and if they won't do their jobs, then I WILL DO IT FOR THEM!"

See, it's PERSONAL with him and it's personal with me.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go to my window, stick my head out and tell the world that I AM MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!

I suggest you all do the same. And then some.

I wonder how much of the very "STUFF" Miss Leonard herself owns?

Curious, ya think she has hair on her legs and under her arms? I'm guessing yes.

She's a hypocrite just like the rest of them and if you follow the "trail" of her life and goods and include how her book was published, you'll find she's just as "guilty" as the rest of the world for contributing to this "problem".

Grant you that regardless of any facts, she's making a buttload of cash off this project. Non-profit status or not.

At least I'm honest about it - I don't care where the "stuff" I buy comes from, how much it costs, how bad it pollutes the air, ground, water, or the people around it OR how much of it I actually have. And I DO have LOTS of STUFF!

I'll gladly tell you I drive a Hummer, a couple of Hondas and a Ford. I have three water craft and two motorcycles. All kinds of electronics (that when they break I toss in the garbage like everyone else) and the list goes on and on.

Maybe I should start a "Stuff" project of my own? Then I could afford MORE "stuff" and I could make money off having "stuff", just like poor little Annie has as well! GOOD IDEA! Thanks Annie! You're BRILLIANT!
