Burchwords : Tupelo, MS Allows People To Buy Beer on Sundays [poll]

Will Tupelo benefit economically? - Yes Will we see it in our lifetime? - Probably not... The immediate changes with the local restaurants and bars will have a very minimal economic impact... The real money will be new restaurants and bars/clubs and businesses that come with Sunday alcohol sales. With the economy the way it is now, I think this bill is a decade too late. I doubt we will see the growth we saw the 10 years before the failed economy.

Burchwords : AT&T: Who Pays The Bill When Your Grandmother Dies?

I have always wondered what the credits adjustments and other fees are because they are different every month for me. I have never gone over in minutes (I have thousands and thousands of rollover minutes I continue to gain every month), never gone over in data (I have unlimited), nor texts (also unlimited) yet every month my bill is a different price... I mean not once has my bill EVER been the same price as the month before. The only thing that I see that changes are my credits adjustments and other fees section and the taxes on the higher/lower overall bill amount

I agree 100% that UAC was horrible... And I'm not saying it's less invasive as a whole but for an average user its just as invasive as it was in Vista (which is what brought on my wishy-washy yes and no reply) Potato - Potato (poe tay toe , poe tah toe) It's seen great improvements in 7, but as you seem to agree, it's definitely not much more than a nuisance

Yes and no... if UAC is active, then File and Registry Virtualization is turned on as well... Thus causing the many problems in Vista. The biggest difference is the ease of which you can turn this feature on and off and how your account can then compensate for the changes

Burchwords : What ICC Is Doing Wrong - Programming Degree

Could the dying mfg market's contributions really have THAT much of an impact on ICC? 0.o ... If so, couldn't they just have separate programs, one for the manufacturing market, one for RAD, one for web development, etc... The problems with focusing only on the immediate community are what causes the community to fail. 1.) If the communities' markets fall through (ie manufacturing) where does that leave the people who have the opportunity to go back to school in a technical field paid for by government programs/grants 2.) for those who are less fortunate and can't afford major colleges, how can they ever get out of the vacuums of their small towns? Are they then doomed to go to a local school, that they can afford, to earn only technical degrees for their community? (which is how it has been for forever) I have friends on the West coast (So. Cal, Nevada, etc) making an easy 70-80k a year doing Pearl, Python, Ruby, and PHP and they all went to COMMUNITY college in rural Nebraska. And I always thought, people who live in Nebraska are people that gave up on their dreams. But apparently they are ahead of the curve... -_-
