ChurchCrunch : Online Church - Heresy or Helpful, Opportunity or Obscene?

Just like anything new and foreign there will be resistance. Church isn't just what happens on Sunday mornings. Church also happens the rest of the week outside of the church walls and even on the internet. I don't think the debate for church online will ever end. Just like there are hundreds of other debates in the church that we are still having that aren't going away. Whether you agree with it or not, it's not going to go away. The best thing we can do is support it and hope that it is reaching people where they are. I suggest if you don't like it or are against it but have never tried it, try it. It might open your eyes to things you have never seen before.

This is a great reminder. With the internet, it's hard not to be a consumer.

CMDTV is a great website if you are wanting to learn some basics of design. I've been using it for about a year now. Good stuff on there.

Ragamuffin Soul : Are We Relevant Enough?

This might not have to do completely with your post, but I don't like the word relevant. Who cares if you are relevant. If you are doing what you say in your post then you will be relevant. If you are having to tell people you are relevant, odds are you're not. I hope that made sense. It sounded good in my head.

ChurchCrunch : NewSpring Church Launches iCampus BETA

For the icampus part that is not lightcastmedia, what are they using? Is it created in house? So, other than the video part, are they using a certain interface software or did they build it? Does that even make sense?

Greg Atkinson : Diving in to Social Media

This is exactly why we will see a church first start as an internet campus/church and then move into a physical building or buildings. It will be interesting to see who does it first successfully and what it looks like.

Tony Steward:. Blog : Good Really is the Enemy of Great

Seth Godin's book "The Dip" hits on this as well. Here is a question I heard from Craig Groeschel. Not sure if it was his own or not, but it really makes you think about your current job. "Would you rather be good at a lot of things or great at 1 or 2 things?"

Greg Atkinson : Diving in to Social Media

I love this post. This is right up my neck of the woods. I would love to find a church to work in that is willing to go all in in the social media realm. Twitter and Facebook are such powerful tools that people don't use either because they need to be taught how to use them or they don't really see the value.
