Great post Scot. Like marketing and other things that business view as an expense, golf should be budget for on an annual basis. It is about building the relationship and then conducting business afterward! You do not go to a chamber event expecting to close a deal, nor should golf be viewed as the place to close the deal. It is about building the relationship! If I keep saying it, I hope more will learn it.
Great post Scot. The online community in general suffers from what I call the shotgun mentality. Much like a lot of so call professionals, the online community values quantity over quality. The number of comments on my blog or my site, the number of people in my network, etc.
If you are laser focused in your approach, much like in playing golf, you will have better results than if you use a shotgun approach. I am more concerned with the quality of readers & comments than the numbers.
