Overall it was incredibly smart and enjoyable. J.J. makes everything look effortless. The one flaw is Nero is woefully underdeveloped, and kind of a non-entity at the end.

The Colonial Theater in Phoenixville, PA is doing the LOTR trilogy (all extended cuts, all prints) on Fathers day. As an added bonus, it's the theater where they shot the original Blob with Steve McQueen. Good times.

Some of the best artists and designers in the business create these characters, even the ones who are in the background for a few frames. So if the characters get an action figure then good for them. At least real creativity went in to the creation of these characters, instead of the utter crap that companies put out for kids these days.

I loved Scream in its day, but is this really what we need? What Scream did to horror is still felt in some capacity in the horror films of today, so why remake something that has yet to completely go away? No one feels nostalgia for something barely a decade old.
