Right. They'll be harrassed for having a dash on the ID. But the situation was even worse, they could not get the ID, which is necessary for doing almost anything, without accepting a religion that they don't believe in to be written on their ID.

There is more to this story, but I haven't found it in English yet. Here is a quick summary. The vendetta is about an accidental death not a deliberate killing. Three Christians were jailed for three years and then detained incomunicado since then. More than 120 Copts were driven out of their homes under the threat of this vendetta. A few families returned recently begging to be able to stay in their homes. The 2 murdered Copts are in their early 20s.
