I am already seeing this at some businesses. Mastercard and Visa policy used to prohibit this practice and, in fact, had a website where you could report violators. I think this is a good thing. Up to now these fees have been hidden in the purchase price at the till. When people directly see how much they are paying for each transaction it will eventually force the banks to lower the fees. The military denying or stuffing these issues just makes the whole situation more volatile, It seems like our troops have been through hell and some of that hell is coming our way, now and when they come home.
