The article states the developer is Jewish. This sounds like a problem of context. Some Jewish magazines/newspapers have gossip columns devoted to the coming and goings of Jewish-born pop stars. There's nothing insidious about that - it's just ethnic pride. And there are compilations of pop stars that changed their very Jewish names to something much more acceptable. For example, Tony Curtis was born Bernard Schwartz. And here's a website that simply lists anyone's original name: http://www.babynames.com/Names/Celebrities/ When things are misused, like terrorists using Google Earth to identify targets, people get upset and want to throw the baby out with the bathwater. That's a time to sit back and consider, before taking action.
