Thanks Ryan! This is one of those books we all wished never needed to be written. However, if it must be written, Dennis Noble is the one to write it.

CDR thanks for the tip. I think every combatant command should have a CGRU. I would be most interested in being assigned to one.

the conference report to HR 1 is the final version so if it is in the conference report it made it in. In the conference report, the 98 million for ACI was listed right before the bridge alteration funds.

Ryan, On further digging it looks like the following was in the conference report: ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION, AND IMPROVEMENTS 6 For an additional amount for "Acquisition, Construc- 7 tion, and Improvements", $98,000,000 for shore facilities 8 and aids to navigation facilities; for priority procurements 9 due to materials and labor cost increases; and for costs 10 to repair, renovate, assess, or improve vessels: According to a press release from the Appropriations Committee, the CG share of this stimulus bill is $240 million: $142 for bridges and 98 for ACI. see page 7 of: http://appropriations.house.gov/pdf/PressSummary0... PS Your posts on this is making me homesick for my old job on Capitol Hill

I concur with mouse's sentiment. As a civilian DHS contractor, I see everything but one team, one fight. the rice bowls, the turf battles, and mission creep nto non-DHS matters is mind numbing not to mention that DHS is the dumping ground for FEDs ....
