It is tough to win in any league without a few standout highly athletic players, whether they are black or white. A disciplined system will get you just so far. Some of the players Lick has recruited are good core players. With seasoning, this team may be able to achieve a greater level of success. But I doubt they can ever reach the upper tier of the Big 10. I don't think they will ever compete with Purdue, MSU, Wisconsin, Illinois, and OSU. And what about Minnesota, Michigan, and Indiana as those teams inprove. No way. So he needs to prove that he can reach the next level and hopefully beyond by recruiting the next level or beyond players to compliment those we have now and in the fold,. He needs more time to do this but his time is running out. These players need to stick and standout players need to be recruited right away for him to succeed. If you throw an interception and lose the game, well at least you went down fighting. But the bottom line is you try to let your players try to win the game in regulation.
