Breitbart.com : Obama extends U.S. embargo on Cuba 1 year

For decades I have believed that the quickest way to end Castro Communism would be to unleash the American tourist dollar on Cuba. This policy has been a mistake for a long time.

Breitbart.com : Honduras\' interim president: US revoked my visas

Roberto Micheletti's U.S. Visa should be restored. The act of its revocation is a reflexive, hostile and prejudicial in favor of socialist thugs, such as Hugo Chavez. We have it backwards, which is not a surprise. The United States should remain neutral in its political stance regarding Honduras, remain open and friendly to its people, and treat the current leadership with respect. The expulsion of Zelaya was not a violation of the laws of Honduras, but enforcement of their existing constitution. Like ours, their government is imperfect, but it is theirs, and should be respected.

This is why we revere, or should revere, our men in arms. When called upon, they perform their duty at risk to their own lives. That it was a reporter rescued adds a cruel irony to this, as we know the New York Times to be no friend of our troops in the field. The soldier did his duty. I say this with the greatest respect and admiration. For the soldier. I also say it with some anger. He wasn't saving Private Ryan. An Afghanistan citizen, an interpreter, died as well. One brave soldier and one Afghan citizen for a NYTimes reporter. I would not have made the trade. It is a level of devotion to duty which once again, reminds us why we are the good guys, despite what the NYTimes would have us believe.

Breitbart.com : Congress probing SEC\'s Madoff failure

The truth is that while men like Madoff prospered, while Wall St. investment firms created new 'products' to sell willing investors, as the bubble grew in the derivatives markets, as the dominant leaders of Wall Street reaped tremendous profits, as politicians swooned about "the strongest economy in the world", we were perpetrating a fraud upon ourselves. Bernie Madoff is a living metaphor, one plastic block in a tower of Legos, which members of Congress could not even begin to consider was about to collapse. What was at stake that made this neglect possible? What force of nature could compel Congress to willingly embrace the pay off, without asking, "where is all this money coming from?". It is simple. THE NEXT ELECTION. That is where Congress had its' eyes. And now, the same blind people push 'health care reform'. Why? THE NEXT ELECTION. Please note I have not referred to either political party. They were all there.

Breitbart.com : Obama disapproval on health care up to 52 percent

I learned years ago that 'big problems' usually have numerous components. With government it is no different. With our "health care system" the problem begins with the term. It implies ownership, as though there was a 'health care system' running around out there that you could buy or sell. What Congress and the President are about to do is take ownership of the system. Rather than repeal laws that interfere with a hospital's ability to operate profitably, they will add rules to its operation. Rather than repeal laws that allow doctors to refuse to see patients who elect to pay for their services rather than use an insurance carrier, they plan on criminalizing not having insurance. Fabricating a dilemma for many into a national crisis for all, I believe that what Congress and the President are about to legislate will, in itself, be a national disaster. I wish it were not so, but I believe while we are standing next to a hundred small solutions, Congress will multiply the problem, with disastrous results.

Breitbart.com : Obama exhorts kids to pay attention in school

As hard as I try to be objective, it's too late. This is politics. I don't want to disagree with the President on everything just because I disagree with him on most things. But, sadly, I do not trust him. I have lost trust and faith in Congress. So the result is that I look upon what he says with suspicion because I have yet to look at the body of his work as President and know him to be an honorable man. The fact that he willfully and purposely is omnipresent in our lives causes my resentment to grow. His words are lovely. He is persuasive, and he wants to be loved and agreed with. So, meeting resistance in the reality of his office, he turns to the kids for reinforcement. He is my President and I want to be fair, but his choice to be appealing to children bothers me a bit. Actually, it bothers me a lot.

Actually, Mr. President, you're right. See, I can agree with my President. My kids went to public school, in a rural district that has a hard time attracting quality teachers (which is not to say we do not have some). Due to California bureaucracy and Ph.D.'s that became lousy administrators after they realized they didn't like teaching, the high school, at best, is a community college prep school. Nevertheless, I reinforced a simple approach to academic success for my kids: show up on time, pay attention, do the work. One just graduated with a BA with honors, and the other is entering her senior year at a major UC university. Yes, it is simple. It's a basic, honest approach and it works. Now, Sir, I would like to suggest you take the same approach to "health care reform". Show up on time, pay attention, do the work. Make progress one idea and one year at a time.

Breitbart.com : Obama exhorts kids to pay attention in school

All of us know, by the President's declaration, Bill Clinton's and other leading Democrats, that "winning" on 'health care reform' is an essential political victory for the Democrats. So naturally, we may reasonably suppose that the President, who is loathe to lose any exchange or debate, great or small, would shift tactics. To shift them to children has stirred emotions bigger than "tea parties" represent. But, innocently, the President has acknowledged that we do not presently have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, and the best schools in the world. Those come at the end of the day, when the kids have fulfilled their responsibilities. To me, this reveals that the President can't rely on his Congress to win the day. By the way, my Mom showed me how to wash my hands, and Mrs. Fox, my 2nd grade teacher, did as well. Eisenhower was busy.

Breitbart.com : Obama \'green jobs\' adviser quits amid controversy

As an American, right wing, gun totting extremist, I believe the Bill of Rights still extends to those we disagree with. I do not want to join forces with my politically correct fellow citizens who run someone into the ground for their thoughts. Van Jones is a member of an increasingly conspicuous left wing, socialist, and worst of all, incompetent group of political operatives in this administration. Why silence him? Let him speak. First, he ain't wrong all the time. Second, if his ideas are that wild and counterproductive, I would prefer him to stay within this administration to give the opposition a clear path to a better way of running the country. I rather give a man a chance to fail on his own merits than silence him for his own thoughts.

actually, early on in his campaign, I donated money to help keep his voice and his fortitude going as he challenged the Clintons' presumptive control of the Democratic Party. I made a campaign donation to help him, which I do not consider a racist act, or hateful. But I have come to disagree with him politically, just as I have with men and women in both political parties for many years now. You are right, that it would be reasonable to not judge the content of his speech until we have heard it. But, I would oppose ANY political leader who would use such an opportunity to persuade children to ANY political belief. So, we shall see what his intentions are. And he will be held accountable for every word, as it should be with any man or woman in power. Respectfully...

Reaching into my American sense of justice and civility, with an emphasis on American, I would have to say that a President should speak to young people. He should be an example, a role model. But, I think he should do that on a personal level, by exhibiting honesty, moral integrity, thrift, personal courage. American values. Once. However, if this President wishes to speak to young people in order to persuade them on an issue of political significance, should he insert himself between the child and the child's parents, should he attempt to persuade the body politic of the adult world by persuading children who are compelled to attend school and are, therefore, a captive audience, in order to further his political agenda, then I would condemn him and my opposition to him would grow stronger, and as a parent and an American, I would support every parent who would oppose him.

Their tactics include funneling of money into political processes, as we have seen in Mexico with the Drug Cartels. With the combination of Jihad money and weapons, communist oil money and weapons, and drug cartel money and drugs, we face a potent enemy to institutions of American democracy. These threats should be taken very seriously, as we have already seen a fifth column moved into America by the drug cartels across our southern border. And in response to this threat, the Democrats would disarm Americans, and join hands with LaRaza to encourage amnesty, health care and voting rights to illegal aliens, while we increase welfare to a third generation of the self-unemployed Americans. Not all illegal aliens are bad folks, by any means. Unfortunately, they provide cover for too many bad people who tax our law enforcement, schools, prisons and hospitals. Thanks for another wake up call, Hugo.

This a very serious crime in a number of ways. First, murder is murder. The ultimate arrogance and indifference to life. Second, if the man was killed for his journalism, it threatens the ability of civilized people to learn about those elements in our society which threaten the well being of all. Third, the killing of journalists who cover wars is often a product of their location, the circumstance of violence into which they place themselves professionally. The result is often the same as the soldier or the innocent noncombatant. They become a casualty of war. But this kind of war is less random. As in Russia, journalists become targeted because they are effective in telling everyone else the truth. When the journalist is murdered, we kill the pursuit of truth. That is a very great danger to free societies.

Breitbart.com : Liberals push Obama to make gov\'t-run health care

The President doesn't get it. Congress failed in its Constitutional authority and duty to effectively and ethically regulate our banking and monetary system. Yet, during a time in which the real human toll of this negligence continues to rise, Congress is arrogant enough to think we should trust them to 'overhaul' our health care system. Too stupid to just make one substantive improvement a year, this group of 60's leftist loons wants us to believe them when they speak, when we have learned that you cannot trust them when they act.

Again, as a right wing extremist, I reflect on my developmental years, to a speech given by Black Panther Eldridge Cleaver. The speech was made and recorded at Syracuse University in 1967. Eldridge spoke of Lyndon Johnson and Averell "Railroad" Harriman, as he put it in terms I frequently apply to the current group of Democrats in Congress..."...they have been lying so long, the don't even know they're lying when they're lying..." So, in my right wing mind, when I hear about Pelosi and Reid asking Obama to speak to our Congress, and the reasons given for the invitation, I think "...they've been lying so long..." It's true.
