Book one is awaiting revision when I get done drafting book 2. The stuff you read is the beginning of book 4. So, getting there, slowly.

The Unification Chronicles : Developing character - Susan Richardson

I like the guilt idea. It sounds like you're talking about the same thing I was worried about in the article, crossing the line between authenticity and parody. Because Susan is SO different from me, I don't know how far is too far. That said, I do know people who worship Jesus, Ronald Reagan and Ayn Rand, and not necessarily always in that order. They also exist.

No, I don't know why italicized text is in a different font and size. Will investigate. #stupidcss

JeffKirvin.net : iPhone 4: The bars are a lie

It's my understanding that the proximity sensor issues have to do with something that gets brought over during the upgrade, a corrupt setting or something. I heard that if you restore your iPhone as a new phone you won't have this issue. I know it's a pain, but I set up my iPhone 4 from scratch rather than from a backup of my 3G, and I don't have this issue. If you can't wait for Apple to release a fix, you could always try that.

JeffKirvin.net : Notebooks or tags with Evernote?

I'm using Egretlist for my iPhone, which allows me to set up a full GTD implementation using just Evernote and checkboxes in notes!
It definitely takes longer to sync, especially on the iPhone. Normal workflow in Evernote itself seems pretty quick.

JeffKirvin.net : Resisting the iPad just got a whole lot harder

Actually, they say they aren't. I uspect this has something to do with their being purchased by Amazon last year. The Kindle app has been updated for the iPad.

JeffKirvin.net : It's the apps, stupid

Apple is proving increasingly with the iPad that Flash support isn\\\'t required after all. I\\\'ve used the iPhone primarily with web apps. It\\\'s really easy, you can even put icons to them on your homescreen just like native apps. But it\\\'s not the same. Google has done some amazing things with their webapps to get around Apple\\\'s iron grip on the App Store, but when push comes to shove, I\\\'d still rather use Reeder than the web app of Google Reader.

The Unification Chronicles : From Word to Google Docs

I used the Document Map extensively in Word for Revelation, but keeping each chapter in a separate Google Doc is effectively the same for me. As for having a constant internet connection, I do. I have a tethering app on my iPhone so if I wind up wanting to write somewhere that doesn't have wifi, I can just plug my phone into my netbook. An extra redundancy is enabling Google Gears so you can work offline if you have to.

JeffKirvin.net : How to read a book on your phone

Wow, typography is a lot more personal than I expected. I just want to get people thinking about typography. My "preferences" as you put it, are based on lots of research (done by others, but I can read their findings) into on-screen readability. These are best practices, but they're certainly not law. If something else works better for you, great, go with Kosh. I'm just trying to point people in the right direction and most importantly, clue them in that they don't have to stick with the defaults if they find that an unsatisfactory experience.

Thanks, Tim. I agree that the biggest impediment to getting people to like ebooks is getting people to try ebooks. But I also think typography matters, and can make a big difference in the reading experience. Good call on my blog typography. I've tweaked the CSS in my theme (along with installing a typography plugin) to bring my blog more in line with what I consider optimum readability.
