The sanctity of the vote is required for elections to be meaningful and transitions of power peaceful. Free elections are the means to prevent the violence and tyranny which plague much of the world. Our Constitution provides for this, and it is the American way. We are precariously close to losing this essential safeguard of our Republic. More than anything this is a fearful reality of the current political situation.
The remedy is bloody horrid to contemplate.

Well said. I respect zebo and understand his frustration, but petulance drawn from frustration will not result in advancing the cause of our liberty. We all need to harden the f up and vote as is the means of our salvation. Then be relentless in holding the elected to our mandate. If that cannot be made to effect our lot, then --see zebo's quote. The founders gave us the means to avoid that horrid reality. We simply must do all we can to s
see that through.

The Republican party is trying their best to maintain the status quo of big government and their place as half of the so called ruling elite. They believe their turn at the helm is coming in 2012. WE THE PEOPLE had better wake up to farce which the two party system has long been.
