When done right, they're my favorite types of games. But Oblivion and Fallout 3 were incredibly dull (to me) and looked like crap. If Skyrim indeed uses a better graphics engine than the outdated one that Bethesda's been using for far too long, that's a start. If they can populate the world with enough stuff to do so that fast-traveling isn't the only reasonable way to get from one place to the other, then I could very be roped in. I want to be roped in. I want a great RPG that is engrossing and visually-interesting and has a great story and is well-designed. I honestly hope that Skyrim lives up to its promise, because for me, Oblivion and Fallout 3 did not.
