Actually you get the same 30% tax break on geothermal as you do solar. The problem is the upfront cost - between $25 and $30k just for the drilling and circulation unit. It would be much better if the government offered an instant rebate (as they have had with other programs), so that the average homeowner wouldn't have to come up with as much up front.

I wonder what this bank gives for guidance to the tellers. Every bank I have been to recently has a sign explicitly telling you to remove all hats, hoods, and sunglasses. If I was a teller and this guy came in with all 3 on, I'd be hitting my panic button immediately.

They used the same arguments when Amherst first banned smoking in bars (Rafters was the biggest complainer if I recall). It didn't hold water then and it doesn't now. Nothing I hate more than going to ABC and having to run the gauntlet of smoke to get inside.

It's no wonder he won - Coakley's campaign was a trainwreck, and she makes Hillary Clinton look warm and fuzzy. I think I could have won this if I was running against a dead fish like her. It's too bad there wasn't an actual good candidate in this race - all everybody heard was "lower taxes" and "more jobs" - sounds kind of like George W. did, and we all know how that turned out for us.
