Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 5/13/09: Is General Motors About To Become General Tso's Motors? YIKES!

If the UAW wants to retain any power they should sue the gov't. Small companies did in FDR's time and eventually it ended up in the supreme court. Many of FDR's programs were deemed unconstituional. I see no where in the constituion that a any president has the power to interfer in private companies, fire CEO, or tell a company how it should be run. We need to use the power that our founders gave us. For every hand out from the Fed's- there are strings...I would not take any government money, I'd let my company fail, do a restucturing chapter 13, before I would have the government tell me how to run my private enterprize. Guess the UAW can all go to China.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 5/10/09: Don't Avoid Jury Duty In Texas

I too live in Texas, I've served on a number of juries. When I got a notice to go to the Regional/ Distract jury I too had to go to the doctor and get a written notice. I had the letter notized and I got off. I also have gotten a jury summons delayed because of my mother in laws pending death. For me it's a bit of work, but when I've a doctors letter, or a pending death in the family I at least was put back in line and called again. The only thing that burns me a bit about Texas & probably others states as well is if you don't speak english, or at least tell the judge you can't understand it well, you are let off. Please if you live and work here, learn the language. It then makes it so I'm not called 8 times and others don't have to serve. I'm not a bigot, I just want fairness. I have a feeling if this guy had made a call, had a good reason he couldn't serve. He would not have had a bench warrent out on him in the first place. Do I think his treatment fair. NO, he should have had represatation. So, sorry it seems we don't get that in Congress either.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Vent through 4/22

I too went to a tea party and it was a wonderful experience. My questions is about a 3rd party. Can the Republicans pull back and actually give us a choice? Right now they are so blended with the Dems that we don't have a choice, or opposite point of view. With all the corporate dollars and big lobbying groups that donate campaign money. Could a grass roots effort financially support a 3rd party? All this is supposition...but I've heard some people who are so upset with having no choice that they are talking 3 party. Even a woman in our local 912 groups said this very same thing? Your thoughts.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Stand Up & Lead - 3/24

My husband and I live in Rockport, TX & we called our local editor and he wrote our letter to him in the editoral section. He also recommended this site to the readership of his paper. We are starting up a group of local 912 people. We have started our reading library and are ready to go. It's nice to know that we can start at a local level and make a difference. We are having bill in TX congress that needs watching & the chamber of commerce and the local paper are doing a good job of telling us the phone #'s to call, and even get a bus tour going to make sure the lawmakers not only hear our voices but actually see the people that they are representing. UM! I wonder if this isn't going to have to happen on the Federal level. Million people march perhaps.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : President Obama talked about his Cap & Trade Policies and what this policy would do ...

to make this simple it appears to me that "they" tell you that we will help you to stand up and walk and then cut off one leg to help pay for the cost of treatment. The articiles I have read here in TX say that wind can only generate 3% of our electric grid. Solar, cost big bucks and still wouldn't reach and 30-- 50% ( I think even those numbers are high) reducatioin in energy. At the very best we would/ could pay millions of dollars getting this going, paying even more $$ to build a grid to get the electricty to major towns. And they would be first, while the small town Americans are paying more for a service they don't even get. All the while still paying more for natural gas and coal powered plants. After all like the Pres said it would increase our cost. I've already paid up to 18 cent per kwh here in TX. Reminds me of how much blood can you get out of a turnip. I'm retired and how am I suppose to be able to pay for all these plans.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : SPEAKER PELOSI IS ABOUT TO INTRODUCE GOVERNMENT RUN HEALTH CARE

Obama is now backing out on a oral agreement with the people about health care refrom, when he said he would NOT tax the bussiness man and now he says he will have to tax to help the cost of govn't health care. Double speak..It reminds me of cap and trade. Both project are to help the people yet at the same time make the people pay more. If your boss has to pay more on insurance he will pass that cost on to you. In Obama speech the other night he wants us out of dirty energy & said he realizes that it would increase our cost for electricity. It's like saying we are going to make you well, but stress you out so much about cost that you will have a stroke, Or we will have clean energy but you will be paying more. Why increase the cost on ANYTHING now that we are in hard finicial times. Reminds me of FDR, where he raised the cost on products and increase pay, while the little guy couldn't keep up. I think that one was overturned by the supreme court.. How many of these ideas are consitituional?

1. Term limits, and no pensions for Congress. 2. Balance budget for every year. 3. Each congressman has to vote yea, or nay. No present votes allowed. 4. Really, no lobbists in any government postion. 5. No lobbying at all for any federal $$$. 6. Resonable amounts for running for a elected postions; not who has the most $$ wins 7. Every vote cast is required by law to be published, state and local postions included. 8. Fair tax 9. tort reform

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Bonuses at Freddie and Fannie are now in question. Barney Frank says "hold on here"

I've said the same things to people, guess that is why I like this site. Our congress is corrupted by monies they get from lobbists & large corporatiions. We've a coporate America. Both parites are corrupted. My husband & I are trying to get the word out and start our own hometown group. We are not talking party lines. I want all Americans who hold true to our freedoms to attend. I'm as tired of talking politics with one party vs. the other as I am tired of being politically correct. Let freedom ring. I want our group to read, and remember all the rights we started with and hold true to the principles Glen laid out.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 3/20/09 - 3/24/09

I read Glen's comment the other day, and heard it on his show also. I think we all need to vent...just for mental health. But how many of us as Americans are really willing to get a hometown grass roots group together. The only requirement being believing in 7 out of the 9 principles. My husband and I are starting up a group in our home town. We have no idea who will be willing to join. Liberals, conservatives, independents, I want them all to join. We all have 7 things in common. Let all be pro active. It's never to late to speak up. Let your voices be heard and join together. Please.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : President Obama Says He Won't Accept Treasury Secretary's Resignation

resexteriors, I have to agree with you, I too wondered why the Senate was so very willing to confirm him. I think most of the Senate is in bliss because they really don't want any reality at all. I almost think that any firm hiring a CEO would have looked into Geitner harder than even our Senate. I hope you are right and that Geitner's resignation is imminent. We the People want to instinstively have trust and our government is doing everything to destroy any trust in Gov't we used to have. To say it short & sweet; we need term limits.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Government: Problem or solution?

I have to agree with some others here that posted. This isn't Republicans against Dems thing. It is the pure truth that a lot of us sat around fat, dumb & happy so long that we lost our voices. Were we really that scared to be politically uncorrect? I wasn't, I kept writting my congressmen and women. In some cases it seems like they listened. Now they seem to be all running around with their heads cut off. I'm hoping that we can make a difference now by pulling together. It is great we are not alone, now let us read, study and make our voices heard. Pulling together groups of like minded people in our own neighborhoods. Have you brought your books yet? We can change ourselves, our cities and our governent. We got the time, now it's just pure determination.
