<description>This is a pretty interesting question. Well for the most part there isnt any diversity at penn state. But lets think about this for a second, what college is really diverse any way. If you go to a historically black college, you would have mostly black students. We attend Penn State which is predominately white. Pennsylvania is mainly white consisting of eighty-one percent white, ten point eight percent black, and five point seven percent consisting of Hispanics. So why would anyone think Penn state is remotely diverse. Just look at the brochure that Sam should us about the Penn State recruitment initiative. We found that out of forty eight people or so it was about 30 white people and the minority picking up the difference. I know for a fact that when white people walk around this campus, they see the same stuff as if they were back in their hometowns. So its easy for them to fell just like a person not like the minority in the room.  Before I came to University Park, I was at a branch campus in north east Pennsylvania.  When I was at that campus I was one out of three black people. It was the worst. I mean everyone knew who I was. Well I really didnt mind that but everybody there looked at me as a liaison for all of the black community. I was like you have to be kidding me.  Throughout my time at Penn State I realized certain things. The first thing I realize is that they dont have all of the minorities come to University Park.  Most of the minorities go to the branch campuses. That could also bring down the actual percentage of the minority population.
