Bears Claws : Who Wins the Greed Bowl?

Both sides have taken the wrong tact...they distrust one another and can't keep past trying to win the pr battle. Ridiculous that this has to head to courts to provoke any kind of discussion/resolution. Both D. Smith and Goodell have demonstrated their lack of expeirence; neither has come off well. Such a waste to see free agency, trades, etc....all the stuff that make the NFL a 365/24/7 sports so enjoyable.

Bears Claws : Bears Reward Smith With Two Year Deal

Smith deserved the extension for taking a overachieving Bears squad with a woeful offensive line and few weapons to the NFC title game.

Bears Claws : In Remembrance of Dave Duerson...

Duerson was, by and large, a good man who used his influence as a former NFL player to help people, especially young people. That he couldn't overcome whatever obstacles he perceived in his life is truly a shame.

Bears Claws : Dent Elected to Pro Football Hall of Fame

Well-deserved, but long overdue. The Bears distinction of having the most HOF'ers is appropriate for the league's charter franchise.

Bears Claws : Former Bear Ron Rivera Named Carolina Coach

Good for Rivera. Always was a heady player and I thought he did a good job as DC with the Bears, even though he didn't have full rein. He's interviewed several times in the past, it's good to see him get an opportunity. Carolina has a little talent and Rivera fits the profile of a younger coach who relishes the chance, and is willing to take his lumps with a team as it replinshes its talent pool.

Bears Claws : Are Bears Players Overly Concerned With Stadium Turf?

Bears should be in an angry mood after last week's miserable performance. D needs to get some takeaways and set the tone early. Let's get back to the offensive formula that had been working during the five game winning streak...nice mix of run/pass.

Bears Claws : Bears-Vikings Game to Be Played Outdoors

Should be fun. Ironice that Vikes have to move outside. Still remember the old Metropolitan Stadium days. Always frustrated that Bears could never tackle Fran Tarkenton.

Bears Claws : Draft Pick Spotlight: Joshua Moore By Columnist Bryan Dietzler

Moore is an athletic corner with good coverage skills and an aggressive, ballhawk personality, but he could have used another year in school. The quesiton he must ask himsefl, does he want to be a great player? If so, preparation, patience, and a keen abiluty to ear will have much to do with his success.

Bears Claws : Bears Reacquire Safety Chris Harris

Good move. Harris instantly becomes a starter. He help mentor some of the Bears' younger safeties, as he said Mike Brown did for him. Credit the Bears for correcting a mistake when they traded him originally. Harris isn't a great player, but is solid/steady.

Bears Claws : Rookie/Free Agent Mini-Camp Begins Thursday

Keep an eye open for free agents WR Freddie Barnes and LB Matt Mayberry. I think both have a chance to make the team, at least the practice squad. Barnes is a crafty route runner with excellent hands. Not fast, but knows how to get open and carries tacklers with them. Mayberry is undersized, but has good range and is a tackling machine. Also worth watching, Quentin Scott from Northern Iowa and DT Jimmy Saddler-McQueen...possible developmental players.

Bears Claws : Small School/"Under the Radar" Prospects

Wouldn't be surprised to see the Bears end up with a couple of these prospects, namely Batten and Barnes, who they've both worked out.
