I am sick and tired of the lesser of two evils. The lesser of the two evils is still evil right? Our founders never intended us to be a two party system, however it was Jefferson's followers who created it building one around him. I am always surprised by the blind loyalty that some have to a Party, I do not understand why they have it but they do. The GOP is a group of politicians nothing more and nothing less, the same as the Democrats. Both parties have been moving to the left of the political spectrum over the past several years. Now we basically have the Democratic Party and the Progressive Party to choose from. We need to have a clear choice between the two parties, a significant difference between them or what is the point. Hard Left and Kinda Left does not look like a viable choice to me. How about you?

Obama has only been in office for just over 100 days, before that it was the GOP that was taking us down the path of destruction. TARP 1 was Bush. Medicare Rx was Bush. Earmarks for days occurred under the GOP. I reaffirm my previous statement, until the Republicans return to the party of liberty and smaller government they will not receive my support. As a Party they are not inspiring anyone, they are not standing behind principals, they are merely another shade of political elite who are standing for their own paychecks and not for the business of the people. It is time to correct this and the only way to do that is for the old guard to become politically extinct and replaced with younger conservative libertarian minded Republicans. I do not have faith that the GOP that exists today will allow that to happen without a fight, they after all are just as accustomed to their power and lifestyle as the Democrats. Power Corrupts, even for those on the right. Term limits and new blood are what we need.

They are our children and it is our responsibility to raise them as we see fit however the public schools, media and every other Progressive group undermines us and as in the case of Mr. Gore flat out tells them we do not know what we are talking about. After school we have but a few hours to spend deprogramming the Progressive nonsense that they received over a full day.

Each of the patriots who sacrificed so much to create this great Republic would, if alive today, be branded as extremists and terrorists. Some of our greatest forefathers were from places such as Massachusetts which is now Progressive in its leanings an ideology that highlights the faults of those great men while downplaying their incredible achievements. Our children are taught in government controlled schools that our nation was built on the backs of the poor and slaves. That our founders were greedy, white, old, slave owners who have no right to comment on the equality of man. Instead of highlighting actions taken by these which would lead to these thirteen colonies becoming the most powerful nation of free people in history they focus on our mistakes and missteps. Our news media reports on our world through the prism of Progressivism. This is an incredibly powerful tool in the war against our way of life. The control of intelligence in a war can change the outcome of that war. In our war for the principals that made us a great Republic it is those on the Progressive side of the ideological spectrum who control the intelligence. They educate our children using leftist spin and they spoon feed the news in a manner that supports their agenda.

Hate Crimes Legislation supposedly intended to fight discrimination is in itself discriminatory. To elevate the tragedy of one victim over that of another diminishes the right of justice for the person who is not covered by a hate crime. All crimes are hate crimes. It is political correctness in action which is used to determine if ones motives were less honorable than the average criminal because the person they targeted is a member of a Progressive constituency. Under Hate Crimes laws a person who has a particular sexual orientation, skin color, religious belief, income level or anything else that makes them a victim to the Progressives they are then given additional rights under Hate Crimes laws. Again there is no attack against a person that is anything other than a hate crime. You do not beat, rape or murder someone that you like.

Political Correctness is nothing more than a method of silencing dissenting speech. Freedom of Speech does not protect you from being offended by what it is I have to say. Therefore if you find my words to be offensive, uncouth or whatever else you have no right to silence those words. By reclassifying peoples speech as offensive and toning it down you are in effect taking emphasis from what they are saying or disqualifying their point because they are deemed offensive. Such actions are currently being used by this administration to disqualify the points made by us. Our own DHS has deemed that if you voice an opinion contrary to the Presidents on such topics as Abortion, Illegal Immigration, Gun Rights and etc. that you are an extremist. Being designated as an extremist immediately disqualifies your points because who can listen to a kook extremist? Political Correctness is a tool of the Happy Fascist, a Progressive tool used to silence us. Watching the offensive clip from CNN’s Tea Party report is proof of this. We are not worth covering because we are offensive and “not family viewing”, because we dare to question the Obama Administration and the Bush Administration.

The Gay Marriage supporters are attempting to change the institution of Marriage to include arrangements that were never permitted nor intended by our Founders or the People of this Republic. If you change Marriage to include same sex unions then you must then open the door to people wedding multiple people, children, animals and anything else. At that point Marriage no longer exists as it has been perverted to such a point that it no longer serves its intended purpose. If you are a male you have the same right that I have, the right to marry any consenting woman you can find. If you are female you can marry any consenting man that you choose. You cannot wed the same sex, a group of people, a child, your cat or anything else. You may think I am being rude and/or oversimplifying the issue but this is exactly the way that I see it. Now I would recommend looking at all of the principles and values and explain to me how they can be bad. Also I would advise looking at the big picture and not try to boil everything down to a Gay issue.

Your post clearly indicates that you are one of those one issue kinda folks. Not everything in your life should be about what you do in your bedroom. I personally am a supporter of the 912Project, the Tea Parties and am an Agnostic who happens to be a Conservative who has had and continues to have openly gay and bi-sexual friends. For people like me the Gay Marriage debate is not one about homosexuality but about the institution of marriage. Those who support Gay Marriage make the claim that rights are being taken away from Gays but that simply is not true. It is also not true that Gays are being discriminated against. Every man in this nation has always had the right to marry any consenting woman and visa versa.

The Tea Parties were fantastic and a good starting point. July 7th we need to have a Liberty Party. Just one party in the Nations Capital. Instead of a few thousand patriots we need to have a few hundred thousand. A few folks are probably tired of hearing me say this but anything less than this action will be treated as groups of nuts raising heck in their local towns. We need to march enmas and we need to do it the right way. At the Charlottesville, VA Tea Party we marched to Tom Perriello's office. We were joking with each other about how much we stink at "rabble raising". Not only were there no cars flipped over, nothing on fire but when marching we all actually stopped at the cross streets, hit the button and waited for the light to change at the cross walk. When it turned red those who had crossed waited for those stuck by the light. WE DIDN'T EVEN DISTURB TRAFFIC!!!!! That is the kind of thing that was call "not for family viewing" by CNN. Let's be honorable and do the same thing we did in C'ville in DC but in a big way. July 7th Liberty Party!!!

That is why we need to plan ahead. Use this site, the meetup site and the Tea Parties to arrange carpooling. Do it in July and camp out. Get a bunch of people together and take Greyhound. It is possible to do it and I do not believe that anything but a massive march on Washington will get the message across.

Pick up a history book and read into the 2/3 rule and you might find out why this classic talking point doesn't hold water. Literal interpretations mean that you read the text and what is in the text is what you can do, if it isn't there you can't do it. There is no literal gray area in the 2nd amendment, it says what it says. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Merriam Webster Definition: to encroach upon in a way that violates law or the rights of another If you need additional insight into the minds of the founders when they wrote the 2nd Amendment you simply need to read their writings. If take these simple steps the meaning of the 2nd Amendment is perfectly clear. Roe v. Wade is another example. Please show me the text in the Constitution whose literal interpretation would support this judgment.

If you would like a pathetic read go to the Huffington Post to see how the hard left is commenting on the Tea Parties. They really have no clue what this is all about and are complaining about us being whack jobs for complaining that we want to impede on their freedom of speech by not wanting them to come into our Tea Parties and act like left wing caricatures of conservatives. Silly comments like watch out what your sign says because you may get shot and about how we are all "aching" for a fight. It is important that these be 100% peaceful, if anyone on the right is attacked by an infiltrator I would recommend taking it and flagging down a cop.

I am not a Constitutional Scholar but it seems there should be some kind of avenue that we can take to get the federal government out of things that are none of their business and that they were never intended to be a part of. It is the Federal Government not a bank, not a car company, insurance company or anything else. How can this be reconciled with the limits of power as outlined in our founding documents? Where are the courts in saying no sir to the President, the Congress and the Federal Reserve in this incredible overreach of power? Actually I already know the answer to that question... in lock step beside them.
