i would imagine that they do plan on jailbreaking it. thats what they're all about. as far as buying one unlocked research what places sell factory unlocked iphones. id imagine you'd have to pay full retail tho

I'm in on the 16GB iPhone 4. Just sold my 16GB 3GS which was more than enough memory for me. Then again I'm really good at compressing movies and maintaining the quality

no need to attack me like that. from a technical stand point with all of the ppl there and how many of them were using the wifi network it could've caused that kind of strain on the network and when jobs accessed it from the 3gs first that was probably what pushed it to its limit. and if i worked for apple i'd already have my iphone 4 :( but sadly i dont

take into consideration that he also went to the page on the 3gs first and that could've been enough to lock up the wifi

download spirit connect your phone and click jailbreak. it really s just that easy. spirit works with all iDevices on 3.1.3. your phone included. it is also untethered so you don't have to worry about accidentally turning off your phone and having to redo the entire process

and then the devteam would be no better than jody sanders. a wise man once told me that when something you enjoy doing becomes work you stop enjoying it. thats a good part of why the dev team doesnt accept donations or charge for the unlock and jailbreak software

let me clarify it all for you. Apple cannot patch an exploit if they do not know what to patch. yes it is true that apple will find some reason to release an update right after the release of 4.0 that will potentially upgrade the baseband and a good chunk of the people that are begging for an unlock now will stupidly upgrade against all advice on this and any other iphone community site. but the point is that 4.0 will be jailbroken which enables users that stayed on 4.0 to maintain their unlock and enjoy all the new features of 4.0. in short they are holding off so people on other carriers can enjoy the new os with cellular service rather than waste their hard efforts on a stupid meaningless and featureless upgrade. if you want an unlock i suggest you start working on your own unlock or just switch to att. the 3g network is awesome compared to the crappy 2g network on tmobile. or you can just get a 2g which can always be unlocked

Hopefully I can answer a few questions. Spirit is a tool that will provide an untethered jailbreak for all devices with 3.1.2 or 3.1.3. It is NOT an unlock. So if you are on 3.1.3 and need an unlock you will have to wait until the release of the new iphone. Comex will release Spirit when he is ready. NO he is not releasing it tomorrow. He has apparently found something that gave him a reason to delay for a few days. Spirit is not a product of the Dev-Team so complaining about a release date will not help you here. Any questions?

downgrading your firmware will not help because you cannot downgrade the baseband. so no you will not be able to unlock for awhile. we do not know if or when a new unlock will be released
