I'm excited too. There are so many opportunities to make a difference. The key is waiting to see where God is moving and then jumping on board.

Jason H Kemp : My Daddy

I love how 2 kids that came from the same parents can have such different personalities and relate to us in such unique ways. I've have the same experience with Abby and Josiah. Abby is much more emotional and relational and Josiah and I do more active activities and wrestle. I love relating to them in their own way; it makes life so much more interesting.

I know, her faith is bigger than I ever thought it would be at this age. She really does pray and expects Jesus to answer her about so many things (even though she always thinks He will answer immediately and the answer will always be Yes) :)

And He does love you that way. One of my favorite quotes from Mark Driscoll: "God cannot love you any more and He will not love you any less."

There are so many levels on which we can think of God and approach Him. Personalizing it this way helps me to remember that He did ask us to have that innocent faith like a child. Abby is becoming quite a spiritual teacher for me! :D

It's so easy to forget with all the noise and distractions of life but we should never doubt its truth when He recalls our memory.

Jason H Kemp : Are You Ok With This?

You are part of the solution already. Keep praying about whether God may have a bigger role carved out for you (and me?). This might just be a time for character development to prepare you for that day; like David being prepared for 13 years before becoming king or Jesus being prepared until he was 30 or ...

Jason H Kemp : The Gorge

Like you've never tried that stuff around ME! I shouldn't have to remind you of the time that you thought you'd be real macho and trip a guy down the stairs at another spiritual retreat! That guy slammed his head into the wall, bro!!

I don't know if I'd do the Gorge again. I guess it would depend on how much peer pressure was involved and whether it looked safe enough. Who knows? I wouldn't have considered riding a zip line without safety gear either, but I did. :)

ChurchCrunch : Ministry Web Technology Goals for 2010?

I'd love to get my church into the social webs...we've got a podcast and a web site-that's about it. Lots of work to do. I'm thinking about getting started with a video podcast and streaming video on the web. Then I'll go to FB and Twitter and try to convince them to start a blog. Thoughts? Advice?
