Very sad story. My heart goes out to this family, especially the Mom who will have to live with this guilt, even though it was an accident.
I am very proud to live in a country where so many brave men and women risk their lives daily to protect us and others. Matt's family should be very proud!

"some people can't afford birth control" is true, but there are other choices, like NOT having S E X! If you can't deal with the consequences of the action, don't do it.
I understand your thinking, but someone who risks their life everyday, to me, should have their living expenses paid for. They don't make as much as people think they do. If someone cut my pay in half, I wouldn't be very happy either.
Glad an agreement could be reached, at least for now. We do NOT send our men and women to fight in a war and then not pay them what they were told they would be paid. They are very underpaid for risking their lives every day and for the government to think it would be ok, even for just a little bit, to only pay them half is ridiculous. Time for Washington to get their crap together and stop acting like kids.
