Well there is peace loving and there is the Irish version thereof. If that comment was not tongue in cheek it clearly refers to the latter.

I did watch the broadcast as I wish to avoid stress and will not watch the video for the same reason, but I have been advised by someone who did that Fiona Bruce's interruptions were distributed as follows: Corbyn 11, Sturgeon 15, Swinson 15, Johnson 47.

Those of a more placid disposition might wish to check. If substantially true the conclusion is obvious.

How will Ireland push the US agenda in the EU I wonder. Never a member of NATO. Doggedly neutral in its international relations with everyone except the UK. Limited representation in the EU because of its size and influential only because of its willingness to subordinate itself thereto in most areas and its usefulness as a cats paw to punish Britain. Good luck to them. They will need it.

A (very) charitable view of this article would be that it is simply a manifestation of Brexit derangement syndrome in its most extreme and probably terminal phase. In fact though it a transparently a cynical attempt to smear by association.
If this is the intellectual and ethicall level of our MPs god help us.

Agree except that the powers are not being repatriated back to S W &NI. They not previously devolved. If they go to them they will be additional powers passed on as as a result of Brexit. AS the SNP oppose Brexit they clearly don't really want these powers. This is just a stunt.

Yep. Great plan. Let's emasculate the English politically, dividing them to rule and thus save a Union which has ceased to be in their interests. Who would benefit from that I wonder?

The author seems to think that appeasement based on large concessions will be more successful that a continuing series of smaller concessions. It really won't. The outcome will be exactly the same. A Union in name only, which, if it is not ended by the Scots, will end with the English finally deciding that it is not worth accepting any more disadvantages to save an arrangement in which they have already become fourth class citizens of the UK.

If the Scots want to go we should wish them god speed as we wave them goodbye. If they want to stay it should be on the same terms as everyone else. Let Ms Sturgeon have her referendum, with the alternative being the abolition of Holyrood, not the status quo. That should put an end to the matter.

Well that's her bid for the votes of children of EU migrants. No doubt she hopes to take us back in in due course. Another faux Conservative who has been talked up by the liberal establishment.

Oh. You mean promises like "we will respect and implement the referendum decision". It's OK. We never really expected Remainders to abide by that one.
