Big Government : Latest Gaffe Reveals Romney 'Not Concerned' About Electability

Yep.. I'm thinking that there is no difference between establishment Republicans and establishment Democrats.. I'm also beginning to believe that these establishment people are trying to bankrupt not just our Country but the entire world maybe in the hopes that they can remake the ashes into their idea of utopia..

I hate to say it but I agree with general Boykin that Islam should not have 1st Amendment protection.. I'm a live and let live kind of person but how do you live side by side with people who's religion tells them to go out and conquer the world, kill and enslave everyone who disagrees with Islam and do it in the name of Allah?? It seems to me that you can't live with people like this without watching over your shoulder all the time, something the Jews have gotten quite good at..

How come Hillary Clinton gets a free pass?? Since Operation Fast and Furious took place both in America and in a foreign country the State dept had to first sign off and OK the operation.. The State dept would also have been receiving briefings on the operation as it was ongoing as well.. Consider this; Keystone XL, if the state dept had to sign off on an oil pipeline, then doesn't it make sense that the State dept would also have to sign off on importing guns into a country where its illegal to own firearms and ammunition??

Big Government : Can the Establishment Pick Another Candidate? No.

Well, we're getting a little closer to seeing things through the same prism, let me reinsert my original post here; I hate to say it here because people are going to disagree with and hammer me for it, but if the election came down to a choice between a liberal Mitt Romney and Republican control of both houses of Congress verses a liberal Barack Obama with Republican control of both houses of Congress, I think the country would be better off long term with the divided government than with a bunch of establishment RINO's in control of everything.. Keep in mind someday soon we are going to be picking more Supreme Court Justices.. So it appears that this thread is way off topic.. That said let me also add that of the current people running for the office of President of the United States Ron Paul is the best qualified AND the most likely to govern under the principles written in the Constitution. Furthermore, being that I am a hard core Libertarian and I respect Ron Paul greatly, that I was raised in Texas, have lived in Texas for 37 of the last 44 years and that I was aware of Ron Paul long before most people in America had ever heard of him.. Now considering that Ron Paul himself has even said that he doesn't see himself being elected President, what is plan B?? Why is he still in the race?? Also I never said that I ever thought that Newt would be a uniter or something, I have repeatedly said here and in other postings that I believe that of the current candidates, Newt would be the best for America. I say that because what America needs right now is a President that can get enough members of Congress to work together to begin to undo the damages that have been done to our Country over the last 111-ish years by Presidents and Congressmen of both party's with a progressive agenda. It does not matter who the President is, until Congress works with him, nothing is going to get done as the last 3 years under the current joke-- er President has shown.. It takes a majority of the 535 people in Congress, working together to do anything in our form of government and at this moment in our history we need a politicial knifefighter as President who can deal with the current political reality in America today and that politicial knifefighter is Newt Gringrich.. Politics is a business of give and take, you scatch my back and I'll scratch your back and we'll both get some of what we want.. Going back to Bill Clinton's time in office and how today he likes to brag about how the economy was back then, the budget, cutting spending, taxs and what not, he always leaves out the part that Newt played in crafting the bills that created the success Bill is taking credit for..

After spending the better part of two days pondering what you have written, I have concluded that there is no purpose in trying to refute anything you post because you have already made your mind up and refuse to consider the political reality that exists in America today. In a perfect world where all things are either black and white with no shades of gray (when I was a kid I used to see the world in this context, a world where everything was either right or wrong, where everything fit together neatly) but as I got older and had to deal with everything life handed me I learned that A, we do not live in a perfect world and B, there is a lot of gray and not many things fit together neatly out there so the only thing I can say about your last post is this. I disagree with your reasoning because same as before you are taking the powers of Congress and giving them to the President to justify your reasoning. Using your logic why hasn't our current President enacted increased gun control or made it a crime to own guns?? One word, CONGRESS.. You need to vote for whoever you think is going to accomplish what you want. If Ron Paul says what you want to hear, by all means vote for him, but understand that even if Ron Paul were elected President he would still be bound to uphold the CONSTITUTION and CONGRESS, (which is where Americas real problem lies) would continue on as before until you and enough other voters elect Congressmen who pledge to uphold the Constitution instead of enriching themselves at the country's expense.. I said that I believe that Newt is the best candidate to vote for not because I agree with what he says but because I believe that he is the only person who can use the Constitutional tools available to get a dysfunctional Congress (did I mention that Congress is America's biggest problem today??) to A, return to Constitutional principles and B, do something about the 15 trillion dollar debt PLUS the 100 trillion dollars of unfunded obligations generations of CONGRESSES not Presidents have left the taxpayers to pay.. "Ron Paul wants to cut a trillion dollars year one and has an itemized list on his site for specifics". This is wonderful but I ask you one important question, in the absence of line item veto, DOES Ron Paul have enough votes in both houses of Congress to accomplice the specifics on his list?? If the answer is no, then what's your plan B?? Dr. Ron Paul isn't seeking reelection when his term is over so I'd like to see him as Secretary of the Treasury where I think he would do more good for America than as President in this, repeat... THIS election cycle..

Well you make very valid points, but like too many people you are looking at the "political" tree and you don't see the "political" forest. If both houses of Congress do their Constitutional job, then your argument is moot.. Don't forget the President doesn't write the bills, he signs the bills into law that BOTH HOUSES Congress writes, approves and then sends to the President for signing.. There is no way that Ron Paul can win this election cycle, why waste time and money trying only to have Obama back for 4 more years?? Romney is an establishment man, he's going to do what the "board" of directors tell him to. America sees that and WE are tired of it.. When it comes to politics, Newt is like a pig in mud, he loves it and is home in the political environment, Romney isn't. So ask yourself, given the political reality we are in as well as the FACT that our form of government cannot change overnight, do you want to start changing America for the better or do you want to maintain the status quo?? FYI, I think Ron Paul or better yet, his son would be a very good President to elect following Newt but not before..

Very good idea except that it won't work.. The reason being is CHANGE isn't going to happen overnight. It took generations for our Country to slowly turn from the principals of a Constitutional Republic first into a Democracy then into the Socialist Democracy it is today. Keep in mind Theodore Roosevelt was America's first progressive President from 1901-1909, he set the stage for Woodrow Wilson, 1913-1921 who in turn enabled FDR, 1933-1945 who steered America a little farther left and enabled LBJ who added to and so on and so forth, until today we find ourselves approaching a great cliff, being pushed ever closer to the edge by the lemmings of our society who's sense of entitlement (fostered by generations of progressive governance) has blinded them to the biggest danger that faces America today; APATHY, you know the "I don't care as long as I get mine" attitude that too many Americans share today.. Ron Paul as President right now is not what America needs, right now America needs a President with an insiders skill, who has a mandate for change and a love of and belief in what America is supposed to be, to get our Country started back towards the principles outlined in our Constitution and Bill of Rights. The only politician at the national level with these qualifications is Newt. Also this change isn't going to happen overnight, so everybody has to be in this for the long haul and expect this to take 10 election cycles or more to complete..

I'm a truck driver, I own my own truck and right now at $3.559 a gallon where I do most of my work with a truck that gets a slightly better than average 6 mpg, I can tell you I've taken almost a 50 percent cut in my revenue.. Believe me I want to see Mr O out of the White House but I really don't want to replace him with a liberal RINO with control over both houses of Congress.. Besides if enough Tea Party candidates are elected along with the Blue Dog Dem's currently in office they will be able to put a bipartisan stop to most of Mr O's Constitutional transgressions.. I really think that this election is going to be between Obama and Newt and Newt is going to clean the floors with Barry, a replay of Reagan's 1980 blowout of Carter.. Keep in mind you can only talk down to the people for so long before they get tired of it and rally behind someone who makes them feel good about themselves and gives them real hope for change..

Well lets see, our Country hasn't had a budget as mandated by the Constitution since GW, remember George Bush was President.. Democrat Harry Reid seems to be the only holdup there because his party controls the Senate.. With Republicans in control of both the House and the Senate, they would be able to control what happens in government, vote on a budget, cut spending, repeal ROMNEYCARE el grande and block mr Obama's end runs around the Constitution.. Don't believe it, ask Bill Clinton about having to work with a Republican controlled House and Senate intent on improving our Country..
