I think the confusion comes from the title of the original blog post, which suggests literalism at the expense of interpretation (i.e., &amp;quot;face-value&amp;quot;); the statement about interpretation and farmers (which does away with face-value if you&amp;#039;re in the process of interpreting/presenting); and &amp;quot;Jesus is simple&amp;quot; which is sort of ambiguous.  Regardless, your comment is helpful. </description>
