This is just like the Los Angles grocery strike @ 8 years ago. The employers were smarter than the unions. The timing here is the same. the employees LOST. In the end all the cuts were accepted by a smaller and broken membership. Union staff also lost jobs. No dues being paid, no staff.

The light rail continues to be mismanaged. A free ride zone is a free ride zone. Free does not mean $2.75 to ride in the free ride zone. Also some of the surveys sent out suggest that Sound Transit is considering elimination of Tacoma-Seattle service on weekends and less bus service from Seattle to Federal Way on weekdays. The public was never informed that light rail would be used to eliminate bus service. It always appeared to be in addition to bus service. Neither light rail or bus to the airport from Seattle is good for travelers with luggage. Neither service offers luggage racks. Sound Transit runs buses from Tacoma to the Airport that has luggage storage but the drivers are not allowed to (or to lazy to ) allow the use of it. Airport service requires proper equitment, lets get that equitment and USE it.
