Since when is the Oregonian a viable source of information for this case? That's like saying the National Enquirer reported.....If your lawyers are telling you that you can defame someone this way and avoid liability, they're wrong. But the real question is, "why don't you want to report the truth?" Surely it will sell as well.

Tanner Pumala, the boy who saw Kyron after Terri left, was not lying. The kids were divided into small groups to tour the science fair from 8:45 to 10:00 am. Tanner heard the chaperone for Kyron's group say "Oh no! There's only five! Kyron is missing!" and Tanner heard the teacher, Ms. Kristina Porter, say, "Calm down, calm down" and tell the chaperone that Kyron was probably getting a drink of water or in the bathroom. Tanner also saw Terri drive away without Kyron. An eight year old wouldn't be able to mimic the adults that well if he hadn't heard them. He wouldn't think to include a headcount, which would be the equivalent of saying, "hey, there's five other kids who can back up what I'm saying." Then Matt Shelby, the school spokesperson, says, gee, Tanner must be confused, because he called the chaperone a substitute and we didn't have a sub till after Kyron's disappearance--the lamest, most pathetic excuse that I've heard thus far in this investigation. Well, then there must be five other kids who are "confused" too about who was walking around with them and whether Kyron was with them. Then the school goes and "loses" the computer log on data and phone data for that day. How convenient. How convenient that the principal didn't implement the auto-call policy, allegedly because they didn't have a truancy problem, and then loses the computer data (that the sheriff failed to tell them to preserve). How convenient to scapegoat a soccer mom stepmother who probably just got distracted that day because she drank too much coffee.

And don't forget, she would have also needed time to clean up the mud from the truck and from herself if she had done something to Kyron. And the truck was clean. So there's no way she would have had time to do that too. It's just physically impossible for Terri Horman to have done anything to Kyron that day. What has already been verified about her timeline shows it is impossible for her to be guilty.

Why are you complaining that Terri is not searching? She can't go out and search. If she found Kyron's body, you would say that she knew where it was because she left it there.

The MFH sting was a sham. Only an idiot would wire an informant and send him with a witness in tow to someone's door to demand $10k for their silence. No one who was confronted with such a demand would admit involvement in front of a total stranger. They didn't send the landscaper by himself because they knew that Terri would call 911 right away. And that would make her look even more innocent. Think about it--why would they wire someone and then send him with a stranger to act as a witness? Why did the police communicate over open channels? Why didn't they warn their own officers? Because it was a sham, just so that they could say that they really believe the landscaper enough to try to prove his claims. Houze should be pointing this out. It bothers me that Houze has so many ties to the police.

I was going to comment, but the tone of your post makes it clear it would be a waste of time.

Andrea Lecky saw Terri with her daughter in her arms at the grocery store. She cared enough about Kiara to go to two stores to find her medicine. She cared enough about Kyron to go to his science fair, to take his picture and to show her pride in him even as she lugged around her sick child. Clearly, Terri is not guilty of child neglect.

So true. Good observation about Ms. Porter.

I agree. Not enough time. She would have been covered with mud too, and would have needed time to clean that up. The area was very muddy at the end of May/ beginning of June.

No matter what Terri says, her enemies will spin it to make her look bad. If Terri gets indignant and tells someone off, they'll claim that she loses her temper and must have killed Kyron in a fit of passion. Or, like C.W. Jensen, they'll claim that she's preoccupied with herself while her stepson is missing. Terri is handling the hecklers with grace. Watch her walk into the courtroom. She radiates innocence and dignity, while her hecklers look like schoolyard bullies trying to pick a fight.
