I liked it, but it could have been better. The problem here isn't even McG. I know this will probably get me flamed, but it's true. McG didn't really do anything wrong here. The problem here is and always has been those two moron writers. Just like with Terminator 3, they present a decent enough storyline. But, ultimately, they can't develop characters worth a shit and they just can't develop a story. Thus it becomes a whole lot of blah. The film is not nearly as bad as some people are presenting it as. It's actually quite good. I knew the haters would be first in line to watch the film, despite their months of neverending vitriol directed at the film, and they were. These people had decided long ago that they were going to hate the film and nothing, not even a decent film, was going to change their minds. Unfortunately they were far more interested in saying, "I told you so" then they are in appreciating the film and judging it on its merits, flaws and all. All in all it was a 7/10 film. Not great, but not a disaster it's being portrayed as either.
