I know! My tastes seem to have changed XD I've been thinking about weddings for so long I think I've become a connoisseur of sorts, haha. Also now that I've talked to the mister I know that we want our wedding to be unique and different, so a poofy ballgown no longer fits that. (Plus, who are we kidding, I love ALL dresses XD)

It will be interesting to see if I can try those dresses on and NOT fall in love with them...cause I can't afford them in-store. I hope they have some cheaper versions of those or sample gowns I could try. The plus side is I do have time to track down one dress if that does happen, but it just puts you in a difficult spot. Wedding dress boutiques are going to LOVE me XD :P lol

I know!!! I already applied to the David's Bridal contest XD lol, should see if there are any other contests out there...

It sounds fun but to be honest...I don't know if I could give up THAT much control over to David, even if he is a planning genius XD lol. I want to feel proud of my wedding at the end of the day, knowing that I carefully pieced it together, you know? More difficult, yes. But *most* of it should be fun :)

Receptions are hard to find in the 1000 Islands area due to many being outdated and expensive :P But I did look into things recently and one place looks VERY promising, Thousand Islands Club: http://thousandislandsclub.com/ . They did a lot of renovations to their facility very recently this year, and you can message them for their wedding packages. They are located close by on Wellesley Island. I really believe that is your best bet right now.

Another good option is the Clayton Opera House, my post about that venue is here: http://iwantweddingchampagne.blogspot.com/2010/07... . This is a great place too because you can do so much with the space, but you will have to find a caterer. For that I recommend Tin Pan Galley: http://tinpangalley.com/index.htm and The Clipper Inn: http://www.clipperinn.com/restaurant.asp . Both have FABULOUS food :)
