Do not be negative, i use already auxiliary solution (with Nokia GPS module), so somehow i have GPS, but is frustrating to have inside on iphone GPS and to can not use.
I hope also as Musclenerd remember about that "mistake" with iPad baseband on iPhone and will be "repaired" .
All the best

- Take one external GPS module (i have Nokia LD-3W)
- Download , install and pay a license of roqyBT4 from Cydia (only 8 Euro)
- Connect iPhone device with roqyBT4 on external GPS module
That's all, you have full GPS signal again on your iPhone. That is the only solution after you upgrade your Baseband to 06.15.00. Personal i stop to believe as on some iPhone device with baseband 06.15.00 the GPS work, as nobody prove that till now. Also i don't believe as this issue will be fixed soon, maybe never and we are blocked on that baseband.
Also as i see there is a dispute on Twitter between @MuscleNerd, @comex and @p0sixninja, so i don't believe in any good news so soon.
I come back and i assume this is the only solution on baseband 06.15.00, external GPS and roqyBT4, i sue from 1 week without ay problem.
Best regards and Happy Holidays

I try right now, after 45 min i give up. It's not about method and to really see if GPS working, i give up because with redsn0w 0.9.6beta5 i really can't make iOS 4.2.1 to work, and i don't have a MAC to try, only Win machine.
- I get reboot in loop after i put custom iOS 4.2.1, i fix that after i remove the line from /Windows/system32/driver/host what was put by tinyumbrella
- I "fight a lot till i put cydia,
- I put cydia and i boot again from redsn0w with tethering option enable and finally start, also cydia work, made essential update and reboot cydia required reboot ... blank..., remain blocked on apple logo.
From that point i give up, now i put iOS 4.1 back as that work without GPS but work.
That is the resume of my story. I really hope MuscleNerd find a real solution to fix this issue :(
On end i like to repeat, i wasn't enable to follow all steps, as i remain blocked on Apple logo on reboot before to install SAM and to activate, and also to try if GPS really work, so i don't blame this trick, but in my case don't work to make this deam iOS4.2.1 to work and to be tethered.
Thank you
