Please read the story in the Forward this week about the Seeds of Peace camp. A young Gazan was very clear that he and his people do not want a two state solution. The young Israeli man is quoted at being shocked that the right wingers in his country who say that the Palestinians don't want a two state solution are correct.

In 1947 and after Oslo, the two state solution was rejected. If Israel accepts the two state solution, will the other side?

Gaza has two borders, one is with Egypt. Israel's blockade should not have affected goods coming from Egypt. However Egypt also blocked the Gaza border, I wonder why?

Is Egypt also responsible for the radicalism?

Native Americans did revolt about the same time into America's history as we are in Israeli history. Andrew Jackson rounded them up and killed most of them, the rest he set up in reservations with flowing alcohol.

I am not advocating any of that, but the comparison is not absurd.

The author must remember her American History. In a country much larger than Israel, the American people realized that a "two state" solution was not possible. The author is naive to believe that two people with claims to a land can coexiist peacefully, it has never happened in world history. We must face that fact, and determine how to address it.
