Sorry didn't see this post. I did change the name though lol. I didn't think there was anything wrong with it. The comic was named after the character, a boy named Muhammad, not our Prophet (peace be upon him). The original idea behind it was to bring people to the site who were searching for the Danish cartoons and show a different side of Islam. Anyway, doesn't matter now, because the blog is named Cartoon Muslim =].

Thanks for the comment! You made some very good points. I like what you said near the end, how Muslim brothers are supposed to be supportive of their Muslim sisters. We like to talk a lot about how hijab is liberating for women, and it should be, but our words sound empty when we wrongly use hijab to criticize women or to hold them back from harmless activities.

Yea you're right, it's both party's responsibility, but I think nothing will change unless we decide not to support artists/companies that produce these things. Yeaa I feel bad for them too. I know a lot of us have loved songs only to realize later what the lyrics were about.

Thank you! Yea, worthy of suspicion could mean lots of things. If a group of young Muslims going rafting is suspicious enough to warrant a spy/informant to go with them, what other little things are considered suspicious? It bothers me that our privacy can be violated as if it is a trivial thing.

Shame on you! Just kidding, here's my summary: Its basically about a man named Joseph Kony who leads a rebel group called the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). He's accused of kidnapping children and forcing them to become child soldiers. The organization called Invisible Children is calling for the US government to allow US troops in Uganda, who were already sent there by Obama, to stay in Uganda to train their military to capture Joseph Kony.
