Hi Freddie, I see you already have installed your wordpress blog, so I think you want to know how you can make it look better. It really isn't that hard. You can choose from thousands of free themes on this website: http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/ To add more functionality to your website it's best to use plugins, you can find those here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ In the beginning wordpress can be a bit overwhelming, but it really isn't that complicated. Just find a theme and upload it in your themesfolder, plugins go in your pluginfolder. You can activate both from the menus in your dashboard. Most themes and plugins come with a setup menu which also displays in your dashboard. The best advice I can give you is this: Write good content and don't worry too much about how your site looks in the beginning(But don't use the default theme that you have now). Once you have learned how to customize your theme you can start making changes, but for now content is more important. The perfect theme for beginners is the Thesis theme, because it is so easy to customize, even with no experience. And it offers great support and a forum.
