The 912 Project Fan Site : The 912 Project Fan Site Wants You! Help and Be Heard Today!

Bobbi, I have an 18 year old son who remembers 9/11 well. Just a week or two after the attack, I was surprised when I walked into his room and saw that he had taped to his wall a picture of George W. Bush holding the American flag at the ground zero. It seems that President Bush was standing with an NYFD fireman, amidst the rubble. It was a terrible time. Our family had moved to Colorado from Bayonne NJ and the attack struck close to "home" for us. My husband's office had had a view of the New York skyline and he would often comment on the twin towers. We even have a snapshot of our family with them in the background. We have moved and the Ground Zero picture didn't make it onto the wall of his new bedroom. But I believe that image is etched in his mind and heart forever. For him that photo was an image of strength in a time of horror. As with many young men his age, my son's attitude and choices don't always impress me, but I am grateful to have a son who loves his country and is concerned with what is happening to it. He watches Glenn Beck almost everyday as soon as he gets out of school. He always misses half of the program because it is on at 3:00 p.m. our time, but he gets in every minute he can. (We both like Beck because he is far more concerned about what is happening to our country and it's people than he is about aligning himself with a party.) I think we will eventually all be surprised and impressed at what strength there is in the newest generation of voters.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Vent - through 5/26

I often think of how my children will grow up in a different country than I did. I didn't vote for Obama. I felt that he was a wolf in sheep's clothing. I am very concerned that most citizens are uninformed and apathetic like I used to be. My generation did not learn enough in school about this great country and what it really means to be free. We were not taught the constitution or about what made this country great. So many of us sit idly by while we are destroyed from within. While I know that terrorists could attack at any moment, I have cause to think, "What would they gain from doing so?" We are doing a fine job at imploding. They may just as well be spectators.
