KATU - Portland, OR : Battle Ground fireworks: Is there fireworks favoritism? | Battle Ground News

first jim bone i like celebrating my 4th of july independence day with explosives. second i was raised in that hell hole battle ground wash. reducing the amount of stands is only in the concern of greed. with more stands there is selection and more selections there comes lower prices. as for the mayor being one of the preselected stand owners, that is a conflict of interest. so back to old scrooge jimbones you oregonians who outlaw everything but vote in a mayor in portland that is gay lied to the public, reducing kalamth falls schools to 4 days a week so the mayor of portland can fund a bike path. ya you oregonians have all the answers. how about you oregonians keep your ass backwards ideas to yourself

KATU - Portland, OR : Man takes down robber with martial arts | Northeast Portland News

I think it is great that gabe was able to use his style of self defense to ward off the robber, however his instructor obviously did not tell him that when the attacker has a gun opting out and living another day is the best option. congrads gabe you did well and you got lucky

KATU - Portland, OR : Wash. House committee snuffs out legal pot bills | KATU.com - News - Portland, Oregon | Local & Regi

I am outraged at this democrate, this bill was brought before the house by the people, now it has been thrown out by a dem that believes that federal law goes against it. first federal and state law are different. each state has its own laws. therfore state law can and does overide federal law. this has nothing to do with what this dem thinks he is making a career decision to better himself down the road. this dem is thinking about himself and not what the people want.

maybe if the citizens of portland stop suing portland pd over traffic tickets they will respond. this is why it is so bad in LA the liberals have the police so tied up they can not do their jobs much like portland. now these thugs in tacoma/ lakewood got away with murder. when they get caught i am going to laugh when the public cries out for the fair and gentle treatment of the POS"S.

my heart goes to the families that has sustained this loss and to the community that this has shattered..... however, taking up the badge and dealing with people who have nothing to lose is part of the job. some of my relations are police officers that work in the nations toughest cities. these criminals will be caught, maybe it is time for people to wake up and stop being so "PC" and tying the police officers hands. when the police are held from doing their jobs by liberal whiners the police get hurt. this is a typical scenario in east LA and south watts. now lets see how many people complain when these POS'S are caught and dealt with and have to be treated fairly and with compassion. what these POS"s have done to the community will last for a long time to their families forever. but to the criminal will be treated fairly and will kids gloves because you sure do not want to offend anyone now do ya. these criminals need to be brought to justice with a good ol lynchen maybe it is time for the people to stand up and send a message back... or is it to easy being PC and trying not to offend anyone... to the families my heart goes out to you, may many prayers and time heal your loss.

KATU - Portland, OR : Daimler: Freightliner plant closing now on hold | KATU.com - News - Portland, Oregon | Local & Regio

wow it sure is relevant that all these union bashers have now idea what they are talking about. let me give it to you straight, i work at freightliner. for the past three years freightliner has broken their contracts with canada to go mexico they have pissed off the vendors and many have walked away refusing to go to mexico. freightliner wants the vendors to ship all their work to mexico to. allot of those jobs are nonunion. the quality coming out of the mexican plant is less than desireable and the buyers austrailia that is our biggest customer has sent the message go to mexico and they will find and different brand to buy. thirdly the company owes the union retirees 132 million in compensation this is negotiated and grandfathered in, this is one of the major things that the company is wanting to change. now for all you union busters that have no idea what is going on, in 2000 all the unions gave up 2 dollars an hour in concessions and started co-paying for medical. the agreement was that that if we took a wage cut. corparate would not get any pay increases or bonuses during the three year deal. that lasted about a week, after the signing of the contract brian moores who was the plant manager told the shop floor and the union stewards that we folded like cheap lawn chairs. so frieghtliner does not care about portland nor its workers nor its vendors. what freightliner cares about is its customers and its stock holders. therefore in about two weeks when the unions get word that the company wants to open the contract and talk about concessions the answer is no. the military wants a promise that there will not be a labor dispute for the next three years before offering the contract for 5000 trucks.. if it means lossing retirement, taking a pay cut so corporate can wallow in bonuses and wage increases then the military can buy their trucks from another manufacturer and freightliner can go to hell.. to all you union bashers go back to the years 1890 to 1935 and see what big business did to its workers. the reason you have a weekend and a liveable wage in because of the unions and labor laws that were set in place. if you do not like the unions and what they given for your complaining whinny non union cans. then maybe a sweat shop in thailand is your kinda work enviroment

the oregonian has done nothing wrong. this scene that the muslims followers are creating is nothing but defense becuase they do not want people to know the truth about their religous and fanatical backgrounds. it is the 1st and 2nd admendment that protects freedom of speech. i am sure the liberals will jump on this band wagon. if the oregonian apologizes for doing their job, then the liberals win and so do the radical muslims and obama wins to.

this is easy lets get that lying freak grant mccomby to do a segment on this with his bad speech impediment, then all the super doo gooders of portland will ban together have a candle light vigal and riding quads will be banned. just like what happened to washington trails, that freak or nature grant did a segment on trail riding and here in southwest washington we lost over half our riding areas. so there you go lets get old grant to do a segment. I feel for those who lost their lives and the families involved, i hope the one responsible for this is taken to the gallows for this lack of responsible riding.

KATU - Portland, OR : Ore. group wants legal marijuana dispensaries | KATU.com - Portland, Oregon | News

why is it republican states georgia florida kentucky new york maine R.I. marijuana is decriminalized more so than california. but in democratic states marijuana is almost illegal. folks california is not all is cracked up to be on marijuana. maybe we should be talking to the republicans on weed. i fully support the complete legalization of marijuana. if i can smoke cigarettes, drink a beer, then i should be able to roll up a big fatty when i feel like it and not have some uptight ninny telling me what to do. why is it in oregon expecially portland that the community feels that it has to tell the whole state how to live their lives. i sure in the hell dont see the republicans doing it. just the commy democrates. oh ya in alaska you can have up to 3 pounds of marijuana on you person without a drug card. go palin. maybe when you liberals pull your head out and look who gives you rights instead of telling everybody how to talk walk and be politically correct. you will see that the republicans actually support medical marijuana. but i dont think the democratic supporters can wake up to see the light of day.....
