I love it when a small group is able to approve perks for themselves...raises? Sure. More Perks? Sure.
Can you imagine what they'd be "voting" for themselves if it wasn't the public's right to know?

Exactly how would it help them do a better job? Laptops are a lot less expensive and more useful in business than an ipad.

I got paddled in elementary school in Idaho when I was ~8 years old for putting a snow ball down a girl's jacket. It was probably 1980. The principle had the paddle hung in his office. I don't remember that anyone had an issue with it. I doubt they still do it though.

At least some innocent bystandard (who wasn't messing around with the gun) wasn't killed. A kid walking by could have just as easily been the one shot. Both parties involved are morons. Who hands a loaded gun to someone to "look at" and who the hell pulls the trigger on a gun under the assumption that it isn't loaded? Darwin award?

People make choices in life and have to live with the consequences. He chose the level of insurance he carried. He chose not to update or increase it. Now he has to live with it. He's a grown up. He'll be ok. I know I would with $158K in my pocket and a piece of land. Put up a damn yurt or something. Time to stop codling people that make choices that put them in the situations they're in...illegal immigrants, drug addicts, some of the homeless, etc. How about a little personal responsibility?

Families are broken up?
That's OUR fault?
The solution is easy. They're here illegally and are free to move back to their country of origin with their entire family anytime they want.
In fact ICE will transport them for free.

Sort of like that woman in Washington who recently claimed someone threw acid in her face and it turned out that she did it to herself with draino on a towel. Some people are truly out of their minds and very desperate for attention.
