These bike loving zealots really need to take a class or 3 on planning. They tried to do this to a major north south artery, and still are planning on Iris and 63rd, two major arterial roads. These roads are arterial roads for a reason, idiots. You take away these thoroughfares and the traffic isn't going to magicly disappear, it's like water, it will take the next available path, which happens to be the side streets. They (the side streets and apparently your brains) weren't designed to handle that much volume, which in turn makes it very dangerous for everyone.

So let's just throw the whole idea, and the people involved to the curb, let Zane and crew take this idea to Scottsdale, Palm Springs or some other fair weather mecca to mess up their lives, leave us working folk alone.

These "facts" are observations gathered from a lifetime of living here. I have driven, ridden, walked, sledded, skated, staggered down Folsom, 19th, Edgewood, and pretty much every other street in Boulder for the past 40+ years, and since this idiotic idea was placed in service the traffic on the neighborhood streets has gotten much worse.

Thats my facts jack.

I agree and have seen the increase of traffic on 19th, Edgewood and 28th. They have pushed the traffic from a road designed to handle that volume to side streets that were meant for neighborhood traffic. Just wait until they do Iris...
