Fellow jailbreak peeps I would like as many comments/experience as possible...
I have jb/unlocked about 10 iphone 3g & 3gs to all the different basebands/firmwares through all the different software - the problem is I don't know which method was the best!!! What I do recall is bb 06.15 sucks & iphone 3gs on 4.1> drains your battery big time!!
I find myself in a fortunate situation of having iphone 3gs ios 3.1.2 bb 05.11.07 factory unlocked!!
I want to jb this phone to achieve the best possible results so i would gladly appreciate your thoughts on the best jb experience you have had. i.e. software (pwnage, redsn0w etc..) firmware & baseband. The only thing I definitely want is multitasking! Many thanks

have you tried reset network settings on your phone? this doesn't remove jb/unlock

I have had the same issues with TMob JB!!! I've done 3G, 3GS & 4 on most basebands.
They all worked perfect until the tmob/orange merge...(did you opt in to receiving both signals?)
Try connecting to itunes and it might say new carrier settings are available. If it does this solves the problem.
I'm not sure why it doesn't give new carrier settings on all iphones (it only offered on my old bootroom 3gs)

guys need some help - successfully jb & unlocked 3g, 3gs on 06.15. However I have a 3gs new bootroom on 4.01 - I want to jailbreak/unlock. The phone hasn't been activated on itunes so I can't use jailbreakme. Preferably like to put on 4.1 without upgrading bb from 05.13 - guessing there's a version of pwnage that will allow. Cheers

I have 3GS (old bootroom) 06.15 4.1 via redsn0w/ultrasn0w
I want to upgrade to 4.2.1 and still have unlock - how do I do this? Many thanks

you're absolutely correct. I have a 3G which is on 4.0 05.12 and my GPS doesn't work. It's clearly ultrasn0w! I tried upgrading to 4.1 05.13 and even 4.2.1 06.15 as last resort. GPS doesn't work ony any of those

no i don't have original sim. I presumed I was not having the battery issues as I had location/wifi off.
There doesn't seem to be anyone that doesn't have battery issues on 06.15 unlock (not activated with original sim).

Doesn't wildcard activated mean SAM worked?

Confused! Please Help

3GS (old bootroom) IOS 4.1 BB 06.15
Redsn0w & ultrasn0w installed

GPS not working but my battery seemed to be operating fine. I decided to do the SAM fix in any case and this worked fine via redsn0w beta 6.
However, my battery is now draining at a rate of 1% per minute with wifi & location off

SAM says "Wildcard Activated - loaded ok"

Seriously confused...has SAM worked? Can I go back to life without SAM? can I downgrade to 4.0 without ssh?
