As a state union member, I've already seen my healthcare costs significantly rise... I purchase my medications through Costco because the cost is significantly cheaper to not use my health insurance to buy medicine.

The state can already "adjust" the contract out as they see fit without any retribution... Removing all of the benefits for working for the state will likely cause people to use the state jobs more as a stepping stone to go where they do get the benefits...

Community College Tuition's were increased several years ago as a means to help fund college costs. Most community college administrator's do not make excessive amounts of money. I also know that community college staff members are generally paid 25% less than their private sector counterparts.

I believe that a portion of any community college tuition is remitted to the state general fund.
