Couldn't agree more. The moment the subs were made I thought we would pay for it.

West Ham Till I Die : Celik & Mills Upton Park Bound?

Only seen him play a couple of times but seemed like a very direct and talented winger - got to be worth a risk with no fee.

Not really that bothered by Matt Mills but think Greg Wylde who has left Rangers today would be quite good from what I have seen.

West Ham Till I Die : Match Thread

It looked like Spector's knee caught Giggs when Spector pulled out of the tackle - I might be wrong though as I'm watching the game on a 3.5" screen but could still see the foul waiting to happen! Dyer had been a huge plus for us today - if only we could get Barrera on the other side as Dyer running at pace has caused the few problems we have posed.

West Ham Till I Die : Transfer Latest: Fry Moves To Charlton & Remy Saga Finally Over?!?

When have either Gold or Sullivan said they were going to buy him? They haven't it has alll come from either Nice or the press. Now I have no doubt that we were/are in for him however, every player has a limit on the price that a club will pay and if one club such as Stoke will pay more than another then they are in the driving seat for that player. It is not a question of if he is worth the money because to Stoke he obviously is it just remains to be seen if we take that view as well or if there is an alternative who the club feel will add to the squad without the cost implication. I understand that you are sceptical of the board however, my original post was in defence of the player not of either Sullivan or Gold - neither of whom I believe have been truthful about the financial situation of the club (they constantly go for the headline figure of debt and do not mention the way it is structured or the assets that the club have) and who I do not trust yet.

I've seen quite a few people talk about Remy only going to a club because of money but I think people should remember he has only been allowed to speak to Stoke because Nice have reached a deal with them. At no point has he said he wants more money it has always been about his club. If he goes to Stoke he will be sticking by what he said about wanting to move to England - a year down the line if he has proven himself the big clubs will be in for him. It is quite simple as far as I'm concerned Sullivan and Gold did not think he was good value for money (as he probably would have used us as a stepping stone as well) and did not reach a deal with his club instead it would appear that they are going after the cheaper option of taking a player on loan for a year (who would also want to impress while at the club). The Remy deal has not happened because Sullivan, Gold and Grant have not seen it as being in the best interest of the club - not because Remy has held out for a better deal (I've not seen either him or his agent mention anything just his club).

After watching Wessels play yesterday at Burton there is no way he should get a second weeks trial let alone a contract!

West Ham Till I Die : Time for Harry?

Harry won't get the job because of his dodgy dealings. Hodgson on the other hand could do a good job and has experience of international football with the Swiss back in the early 90s. That said no matter who the manager is it is quite clear the players couldn't care less and have not shown any desire in the whole tournament although I am certain their agents will keep them from this truth. I remember before the World Cup 5Live had something about Rooney saying winning the Champions League with Man Utd was bigger than winning the World Cup - says it all really - world class player my ...

West Ham Till I Die : Hammers Bid for Piquionne

God no! Such limited ambition from the club. I can't say I am overjoyed by the prospect of having Avram Grant as manager and certainly cannot understand why he would bring so many of the Portsmouth players that contributed to the relegation of that club. It just makes no sense to me - unless of course the people running the club are not genuine.
