hey i just bought an iphone 4 from canada, and its on 4.1 with BB0 02.10.40, not sure if it is factory unlocked... is there any way to tell if i dont have another microsim, also i have an iphone 3g on 3.1.2 jailbroken with blackra1n and unlocked with ultrasn0w, but i need to upgrade it to 4.x so that i can use it for work, what would be the best process/way for me to do this, (i am unsure who it is locked to but i need to use it with a rogers sim)

i just purchased an iphone 4 off of ebay, but when it shipped to me the previous owner did not remove his password, would dfu mode or recovery mode enable me to restore the iphone back to factory setting so that i can use it. i have an official sim for the device and don't care about the unlock.
