It's the same where my mother lives in Louisiana. She works at Winn Dixie which is not even a quarter mile up the street and WalMart is slowly running them out of business...not the mention the total demise of the mon-n-pop stores in the area.

I love that it race isn't an issue on those shows, neither of which I watch BTW. Maybe the success of those shows will be catalyst for more change. One can only hope. :-)

I agree with you with 99% of what you've stated.

However, shows like Scandal and Sleepy Hollow feature a black female lead, yes, but the cast isn't predominately Black. THAT is the huge difference. HUGE. If those shows were cast with predominately black actors, I'm not so sure they would do as well in the ratings even if the writing and acting were the same.

Two things:
#1 - People need to look up and study the term "SATIRE".
#2 - I really want people to stop STOP STOP claiming cultural/black appropriation when it comes to TWERKING!!!!!! WHAT in the ENTIRE F**K is wrong if THIS is what you're claiming to be a part of your culture? Really? Ass shaking and booty clapping? SRSLY? (pulled directly from my FB comment)

I don't like strangers in my personal space so uhm....NO. NOPE! NO EFFIN WAY!! I don't even like it when people stand to close to me while waiting in line.
