it shouldn't hang. All it does is clear/restore the carrier info and plist.

And yes, it will show the cam icon... once you install the bundle for tmobile.

After you install the unlock for ultrasn0w for the iPhone 4. Make sure you reset network settings, install the tmobile USA bundle from cydia, reset network settings again, restart the phone, and then set the APN how they people tell you above.^^ You know what settings to use for your data plan right?

Signal is just an app. The unlock is in beta testing right now. :) just wait a bit. It shouldn't be too long.

Signal is not the unlock. If you have an iPhone 4 wait a bit for the release. If you have the 3G/3GS install ultrasn0w on cydia.

1. You don't necessarily have to change the password. Get sbsettings and just turn it off whenever you dont need it.
2. A fresh restore is always better but in some occasions restoring from backups are ok. Do whatever works best for you.
3. Having a jailbroken phone opens great possibilities. Look at answer #1 sbsettings is a great tool to toggle features on and off. Less clicks are better. I have never used themes on my iPhones. I like it just the way it looks but again, it's another option. And about the sim free. That's super convenient if you travel and want to use your iPhone or if you wanna use it on an unofficial carrier.
