There is a place for this discussion but providing healthcare isn't something that the federal government can constitutionally do. Nor is it something they can do effectively - the stories about socialized medicine are true! This is something that should be addressed by the individual states. This keeps control and oversight in the hands of the people that are served and that pay for it. States like California would need to prioritize their spending rather than relying on other states to foot the bill through federal funding based on cronyism and political favors.

Cutting Taxes for 95% - who buys that? 95% of us don't even pay taxes! If we worked within the existing parties at the primary or grassroots level, we might have a chance of getting decent candidates on the ballot. I just learned that Texas senators voted 22 – 9 to accept the stimulus money that Rick Perry refused because of the strings that were attached - this two days after the Tea Parties! I guess they really aren’t listening to us. Apparently 10 of them were Republicans and 12 were Democrats. I haven’t been able to find out who voted for this – does anyone know of a site that tracks voting records so that things like this can be brought to the attention of the people in their districts?
