I have a friend who recently quit working for an oil company in Canada. His reason? His wife had been battling cancer for seven years and it was determined that the Canadian system had spent enough on her already. So he quit, moved back to the states, and is resuming treatment here. He could not pay out of his own pocket there for treatment since she had been locked out of the system by bureaucratic decree and all that was left was to pack up and return to the States. This is a story that you will never hear from those in favor of socialized medicine. Also check out the public ad campaigns in Great Britain to get people to quit pulling out their own teeth. It seems that after waiting weeks and weeks to see a dentist, folks there finally take matters into their own hands. Of course if you are one of the governmental elite, you are on a different track than the rest of the folks. Wasn't it "Animal Farm" where some animals were more equal than others?
