Thank you for your interest in Garland’s branding initiative. We appreciate your comments with regard to this exciting endeavor.
The purpose of a strong brand is to market Garland to increase economic development opportunities; whether it be to company relocation specialists, meeting planners or even real estate professionals. A strong economic base generates additional tax revenues, which in turn help pay for city services and other enhancements—improving the quality of life for all Garland residents.
Part of the brand development process includes assessing what other entities have done to ensure that our brand differentiates us from area cities. That, combined with the input we will receive from our residents and business owners, will help us create an image that is authentic for Garland.
The initial in-depth interviews, which included participation from residents as well as local stakeholders, represent only one phase of the brand creation process. Before the new brand identity is launched, all interested residents will have an opportunity to share their ideas and opinions.
We hope you will continue to share your thoughts with us as we move forward with this project. Garland is a unique city with a unique history and we will continue to position it for future growth and success.
